Hey guys, first post on the boards (long time listener to the podcast though)...
Last year, I bought an Xbox360 in Korea and to my dismay I found out that some titles for the Xbox in this region are either only in Korean or Japanese (I'm an expat here for the long term but still rusty with my Korean). A lot of the bigger North American releases are in English but some releases don't make it here at all (I'd still like to play Eternal Sonata, Culdsept Saga, Tales of Vesperia).
I also own a North American Wii and am very hesitant to pick up any titles here for fear that they are region protected and/or only in a language that would put my dictionary to good use.
The question that I have is this...I'm looking to pick up a PS3 mainly for MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles and FF13 (I know that the Xbox version here will most likely not be in English) and I was wondering if anyone out there knows if the PS3 and games are region coded? I'd like to buy a PS3 here and get the folks back home to send me games.
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh yeah...I'm also looking for peeps to play games with online that might play in my time zone (evenings/weekends). I don't get a lot of online play lately because I, also, dislike 12 year old racists and friends back home fail at video games.
