Whatever else changes, at it's essence, GB is a group of people spending their time together playing video games (and adjacent activities), sometimes in increasingly entertaining ways.

The idea of it just being a hub for creators who don't know each other, have never met and have no intentions of interacting with each other in person on the regular, is going against what this place is recognised for at its core. It has to be people in a space interacting. Surely that has to remain intact?

It'll be interesting to see if it's recognisable as Giant Bomb in any way once things have settled down again.

As for the departing trio - They need to spend time with their families first and foremost. Beyond that I'll adapt to whatever they choose to do. They are people wiith infinite interests.

Oh very sad news. It's made even worse when it's one of the long term staffers. Austin leaving after a year wasn't so much of a biggy for me, but after 8 years you just assume the ones like Drew, Vinny, Brad will be around for ever and ever, but I guess they all will depart the office one day.

Thinking about it now after the announcement, I guess Drew's tie to video games is perhaps the thinnest and video production is clearly his thing, so if wherever he's going lets him do even more of that in a greater capacity than GB allowed him, than all the best to him!

I hope this doesn't mean we lose Drew from in front of the camera at least in some manner. Will be missed.

And as Jeff kinda mentions on the podcast; the whole meme thing happening right now is the icing on the cake, really.

First time I've been at the source of an internet meme. (Internet goal achieved?). Very funny when I first saw the biology meme on another website and had to do a double take.

I can't remember if it was actually hard, but stealing the military jet in San Andreas sure stopped me from continuing that game. The other example that actually wasn't hard but seemed so at the time, was from the first Dead Space where you have to blast some meteors with a turret. Stopped me from playing that game 'till Dead Space 2 came out and I read up on some tips.

I was stuck on that bit in Dead Space for a long time as well. Could not figure out what I supposed to do differently to beat it. Eventually got past it and enjoyed the rest of the game. Thought to myself that I should replay the game at some point, thought back to that moment and noped that idea. There's always one section to every game that is so much effort to get through/not fun that it puts me off replaying otherwise amazing games.

Every Dark Souls game has that sudden difficulty spike in the bosses. I think for the last 4 or 5 DS3 bosses, I hit a wall with my skill in that game and had to summon in all of them if I was ever going to see the credits.

Well Bloodbourne and Batman are the only two on the PS4 list that I'm after, which is depressing...Oh and probably MGS5 going by how hooked I've been on 'Metal Gear Scanlon'.

Luckily I've still got Metro: Last Light to play and GTAV to finish replaying

It's great that Alex has fully embraced Big Rigs as the 'thing' that people recognise him for the most. Everyone in any kind of public eye has that one 'thing' I guess.

He is the only reason anyone knows about this game.
