Nothing anyone could say can even come close to alleviating the pain that comes with the death of a loved one, and knowing this makes anything I have to say in these situations feel wholly inadequate. Nonetheless, you have my deepest sympathies, Jeff. You and this site have left a profound positive impact on my life since I discovered it last year. Thank you Jeff (as well as the rest of the GB crew) for the countless hours of entertainment and escapism provided in the year I've been part of this community. It has really helped brighten my life during some low times. As others have said, I hope you take as much time off as you need. You deserved it well before your profound loss occurred. Wishing peace to you and your folks going forward.
Personally I think Casey Hudson was overrated. And I am curious to see what he does next but no one should deny the fact that he did screw up the ending to Mass Effect 3.
Man I thought the ending wasn't great too but we should really stop bringing that up and blaming it all on him to be honest.
Seriously, this. Allowing a (hugely) unpopular hour-long segment of game to overshadow the hundreds of other hours of great stuff he was a part of crafting is petty and moronic. Whether you like him or don't, you also cannot deny the fact that he was a hugely important part of some of the most heralded games of their era.
Casey was a defining force behind some of the most important and entertaining games I've ever played. Seems like a pretty significant loss for Bioware. It sucks to see him move on but it'll be interesting to see where not only he goes from here, but Bioware as well.
Really excited to see what becomes of this and where you guys take it. It's gonna suck if Vinny can't to the bombcast anymore but it will be super awesome to see what he and Alex end up doing together. Good luck duders!
