Regrettably Not Played:
- Chained Echoes - This looks gorgeous. I probably would've loved it. I just wasn't ready for a 32 hour RPG at the end of the year. Really wondering how this will shape up against Sea of Stars once that's out.
- Horizon Forbidden West - I've had this since launch, but never found the time to play it. I'm sure it's wonderful and I'll get to it soon enough.
- Neon White - Another game I know I would have loved given how much I love to go fast and shoot things with accuracy with a mouse.
- Rogue Legacy 2 - Even though I didn't play this in 2022, I did pick back up Rogue Legacy and cleaned up the remaining trophies in it. Helluva series, I'm sure 2 is awesome.
- Sifu - Yet another game that would've easily made my top 10. I was just too damn busy cleaning up old trophies to get to it. The combat looks utterly satisfying.
Honorable Mention:
Honestly nothing really to note here. I had a hard time building a top 10 list this year since I didn't play that many new releases. Maybe Grounded should be on this list. It was pretty mid, but I played it with friends, which made the experience more enjoyable. The thirst, hunger, weapon degradation management really took the wind of my sails. I didn't realize until way late in the game that you could turn all that stuff off and just have fun.
