    Overview

    Rogue Legacy 2 is a 2D indie medieval-fantasy action-adventure platformer developed and digitally published by Cellar Door for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on April 28, 2022. The PC version was originally released as early access on August 18, 2020.

    The sequel to the 2013 game Rogue Legacy, Rogue Legacy 2 builds on the combination of Metroidvania platforming and roguelike elements with a new art style (trading pixel art for cel-shaded 3D characters on top of hand-drawn backgrounds) and several new gameplay mechanics (including new character classes, new abilities, a modified risk-reward Trait system, a "Resolve" system for special items, and an updated map generation system).
