Purchased 2 more years to extend my account about a week ago and emailed support and it is still not showing premium. 3 emails sent... still nothing. Anybody there?
re: the story - I can't tell if the story is just not good or if I am too distracted by the insane console to read it from. Giant bright text crowded into a small corner of screen real estate (which almost always required a scrollbar) has to be one of the more overlooked and confusing issues with this game. Never thought the thing that would let me down in a Doom game is the story, but here I am.
As someone too busy to put in the real hours to play Destiny 2 - it was off the table before it had a chance. That said, nothing about doing the entire level up thing again looks fun. If I could pay $60 and be able to jump in and play at the same level as my friends for a few hours, I'd be very into it. Basically give me a random character and random weapons - just let me play the game and skip the rest of it.
Eh, this game looks pretty basic as far as open world goes, but I don't particularly like Jeff's arguments. It basically boils down to "yeah, I could play with real people, but when I play with AI it's a much easier game so I'll stick with that".
I'd rather have fun than have an easier time taking over a base.
Yeah, I hear you - but he also said that he felt the combat was so meh, that it would hardly be much more fun. And the combat does look terribly boring, so I don't think having 3 of your friends would change that.
I'm chalking this quick look up to being a very unfortunate mission in an otherwise fun game. I imagine the cave scenes are generally the worst, and the real fun is being out doors with the machines.
Appreciated the series, especially Brad's cool hand as master of ceremonies. I found it weird when Jeff sort of put the banhammer down on Doom with the "we aren't doing a good job" nonsense. Oh well, I suppose he get's to do that occasionally. Will have to try Hitman if that game made him vie for it so strongly.
And more than anything, I learned that Dan has a pretty sad existence with that Stardew Valley life he is living. I think the guys gave him that spot just so they could avoid addressing the obvious.
