I really want to play through that game again, it's exactly what I want a stealth game to be. The old splinter cell games were to slow paced and clunky, this one is fast and fluid but still has a strong sense of danger. I personally wouldn't call it my game of the year, but I wouldn't be surprised if others were that enthralled with it. Totally under-appreciated title.
I don't think we should use the term "good for a video game" seeing as we have seen good stories from Mass Effect, Last of Us, etc. However, I always find myself either loving a video game's story or being completely indifferent to it. There's rarely any middle ground for me. Whenever I review a game on my channel I will either praise it to hell or talk down about it, in most circumstances I talk down about them...
The only time I can remember spending money on Microtransactions was in ME3's coop on a booster pack and had nothing else to spend them on. And that was because I had an odd amount of ms points. I generally don't care whether or not micro transactions as long as the implementation isn't too gratuitous.
It's nowhere near as intrusive as something like a mobile phone game, but you'll notice it every now and then. When you go to purchase cars in Forza 5 or skills in Ryse, it will have a menu saying whether you want to purchase it with in game currency or with paid currency. Jeff definitely pointed out that it's kinda weird that there are two accelerator notifications on one screen, but it's not too intrusive. Those are the best examples, though they are present in Powerstar golf,
My main gripe with Forza is that for the first few hours you gain credits so slowly that if feels like the game is ploying you to buy stuff, and buying a Pagain Huayra will cost you 20 bucks, which sucks.
If the micro transactions were Forza 4 style, it'd be cool, but otherwise the game's pretty spiffy.
