Games I'll Be Getting This Fall: 2010 Edition

I plan on actually getting all of these! It may be this fall, or it may be sometime off in the post-cyberpocalypse -- but either way, it's a totally done deal, as far as I'm concerned.

List items

  • Getting the keyboard bundle for this, for 360. After owning more than 500 songs for Rock Band games to-date, there ain't no way I'm missing an event like this.

  • I'll be getting the 360 version, since I was totally boned on the PC version's buggy, custom-soundtrack-less nature last time. :|

  • I'll be getting this on release day! I want to talk to my friends about how nice that one Last Airbender trailer looks.

  • Aside from that one EyeToy game nobody cares about, Harmonix has a perfect track record. This is Kinect's killer app, and I'll be getting it day-one.

  • I'm anticipating this exclusively as a pack-in with Kinect proper! Maybe I'll enjoy farming achievements in it, at least...?

  • Exergames are wonderful! It'll be interesting to see if this one holds up to scrutiny any better than ResponDesign's Yourself!Fitness did.

  • ...okay, so here's the deal: I'm going to put this on my Amazon wish list and forget it's there. Anyone who hates me can buy it and I promise I'll play this motherfucker to completion. Scout's honor!

  • Secretly almost as excited about this as I am about Rock Band 3. This makes it the third rhythm game on my list, all of which will come out in the span of thirty days! I'm praying that Def Jam Rapstar isn't any good (sorry, Jeff).

  • This doesn't count as a rhythm/music game; this is a beat-droppin' adventure! And I'm getting it; so there. :|

  • My goal is to eventually own every Sonic game (in content only; lame ports absolutely do not count). This one has the benefit of actually looking fun to play. Huh; how about that? Maybe my longwinded letter to SEGA of America wasn't in vain after all?

  • Unless it absolutely, completely blows -- to the extent that got me to avoid Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust when it came out -- I consider it my destiny to buy and beat this game. I did it with Sonic '06; I'll do it with this.

  • This, however... well, at least it'll be funny to watch me play it. I have a problem :\

  • It's a blue-skies SEGA game -- and the spiritual successor to Advance Wars, at that! How can I refuse?

  • Freakin' PSP, man -- how'd you come out with so many hits in '010? This game is destined to be fantastic; I can't wait to brag to my boyfriend how great it is, so we can AdhocParty our way through the campaign.

  • It's a shame that the only PS3 game I'm looking forward to is a rehash of a bunch of PS2 games, two of which I've already played. But whatever! I can't wait for it; I'd buy it at $60 if I had to. :D

  • I've been jonesing for a good 3D platformer for a while, and this one looks totally dope! I love the visual style and the concept behind it, in particular. :D

  • With Itagaki gone, it'll be interesting to see if Samus retains the trademark breastacular nature expected of a Team Ninja female. Oh -- also, the gameplay itself looks tight. Yeah...

  • Referring to Telltale's episodic series, since I'm totally gay for both Telltale AND BttF. God, I hope it's good. :X

  • This one's two years old, but I plan on getting it -- after all, can't start up Dead Space 2 without getting the backstory, right?

  • I'll be nabbing this one used for less than $20 to prepare for my similarly-sub-$20 purchase of Fable III! Don't scoff, Microsoft will make their cut in DLC.

  • Referring to the secret fourth DLC that's been stealth-announced. I love this game, and will gladly play as much of it as humanly possible.

  • Referring to "Minerva's Den", which is an intriguing concept I'd love to see in action.

  • DAY ONE. I'll rob an old lady to get it if I have to. :|
