Based on season performance, impact, popularity, image, appeal, etc. who do you think should be the cover of NBA 2k12?


Past players who were already covered (in 2k and NBA live) are excluded (like Jordan, Wade, Durant, Kobe, Dwight)

But no really, he's so underrated. It would be so awesome if he were on the cover. Not gonna happen though.

It probably depends on who wins the finals. If the Heat win, it's probably gonna be LeBron.

There are no words for how recklessly insane I would become if Kevin god damn Love were to be chosen. And screw Blake Griffin, too. You can make a case for Durant, but he's on a division rival team, so I naturally hate him.  :)

Really, maybe after those other two actually start helping their team to a few wins, you could consider them.

I just don't like all of the Griffin bandwagon-ness. Yo, dude dunks. That's it. His team is still awful.

As for Kevin Love, he has potential, but again, he doesn't seem to be helping his team. Putting up numbers but not getting wins is completely pointless. Granted, the team around him isn't fantastic, but still. When a guy can put up 30 and 30 in one game, you should win a lot more than they did.

Back on topic: I think Derek Rose would be alright. He was actually already on the digital "cover" of the Draft Combine game, but that's not an issue.

Being on NBA elite might mean no future covers for nba 2k even though it wasnt released. @JJWeatherman: yes its not an issue. and feel you on the bandwagon thing. not griffin hate, his dunks and stats are nice,  but he sort of feels just overexposed by the NBA. still too early. and if fans are talking abt high flying rookie sensations, you must have forgotten Vince Carter. His impact in the lock out season is levels ahead of what Blake did this year. And youtube wasnt as popular that time.

@choffy: LOL. No wonder Gallo's nickname is "rooster"

my best bets are Rose and Lebron if they become champs this season..  
   

Lamarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love would be nice and deserving but its the bandwagon thing that will affect them. K. Love needs to make the twolves respectable again to be MORE legit. Just my opinion though.

The correct answer is Danilo Gallinari. Dude is a straight up pimp, gettin' all the hot bitches in Denver every night.

In reality, it'll probably either be Derrick Rose or Kevin Durant. LeBron is great, but people don't like him still, and zero copies of the game would be sold in the state of Ohio. I see Dwayne Wade as a more likely pick than LeBron.

It's has to be Derrick Rose, he is probably going to win MVP and the Bulls are doing alright in playoffs so far (even though they should have swept the Pacers). If not Rose then i would say Rondo because he is playing amazing right now and puts up crazy numbers in the playoffs.

a lot are great and deserving but afaik, could not be featured anymore. wade and durant cant be covers since they represented rival franchise nba live.


though nba live or elite maybe already dead or gone for a long time.

The past couple of 2K covers (not including Jordan for 2K11) have featured players from the NBA Championship team (Kobe 2010 and Garnett 2009).  They may keep that trend going.

I'd personally like to see Derek Rose on there.  Definitely the easy pick.

Derrick Rose no doubt. The Bulls probably won't win the whole thing but his play and ethic have almost singlehandedly brought back the Bulls into title contention as well as garnering national attention.


Kobe's already had his. Lebron maybe if the Heat win the championship. Blake and Durant also possible but definitely feeling like it's going to be Rose.

It's pretty easy to me. The youngest MVP in NBA history and one of the best point guards in the game on the #1 seeded team the Chicago Bulls - Derrick Rose. I'm not a Bulls fan or a Rose fan, but he is just an amazing player.
