@RsistncE: Yea I got the same kinda oral steroid. That should heal it up pretty quick, but I'm not sure about being better by the weekend. You'll definitely be able to swallow a lot better when you start taking the prescription, but the soreness, even though it won't be nearly as bad as what you have now, will still linger for a little bit. I got mine around finals time as well, kinda awkward because my Japanese final was an oral interview which you can imagine how fun that was with swollen tonsils but I digress. Once you take the steroids you should be ok...

I was in the exact same place you are at last fall my fellow giantbomber. I didn't even know it was mono until I went to the doc and got blood tests done, but by that time it had already progressed to what you're feeling :/ It kinds sucks, but you really gotta get the steroids if you can't swallow anything at all. It pretty much kills the sore throat for a day or two then the prescription you get for mono will really help at killing the rest of the mono.
On a slightly off note, don't take like normal things you would for a bad cold-related sore throat, as I did that and apparently (from what the doctor told me) it just made it worse... I'm probably not helping much here but my best advice would b to get a prescription and get a steroid shot. Get well soon!!

It was boss cus you just found a chokepoint and kinda sat there forever while just smacking whatever came in front of you and usually due to assassination they were always asleep or paralyzed. But again I have no clue if that's good, but it was fun for me hah.

Another reason I care so much, is because this score is going to be a part of this websites history. When a new person visits GB and they are trying to figure out if GB is the right vg website for them, one of things they will do is look at the reviews of their favorite video games and see if they agree. Now it wont be the only consideration, but its one of them.
When I came to the site and saw how the reviewers seemed to review the games differently then everyone else and weren't afraid to gives games people might get their panties in a twist over, ie Fable 3, lower scores then the rest of reviewers out there, I quite enjoyed it because it meant that they were reviewing based on their own opinion and not the public's.
