Since the trunk randomly detached itself from my car in Fallout 2 nearly 20 years ago, I have since never gone more than 15 minutes without saving in a Black Isle/Obsidian game and always cycle through 15-20 save slots.
FYI, I did eventually stumble into the trunk again and was able to get all my stuff out of it, but I was never able to reattach the trunk to my car.
I have a VR headset and have no desire to play this. Movement is important in a Half Life game, and movement in VR is terrible. It also looks like the majority of this game is built on VR gimmicks, so a non-VR version seems kind of pointless.
If Valve was going to make a VR game, I don’t get why they didn’t make a new Portal. Teleportation is already an integral part of the game.
They should make a non-ordered top 10 and move on. The discussions to create the lists are generously cordial and thoughtful. Numbering the lists from 10-1 is generally shitting on people and the games they like.
This is akin to Michael Jordan announcing he’s coming out of retirement to play more baseball. I say that as someone who owns and enjoys two VR headsets, but they have never figured out locomotion in a satisfying way, and all the games, even the ones I enjoy, are basically gimmicks.
