So, yeah we already know that in australia gaming is a bit more expensive, but this is rediculous by a huge margin, normallly full priced games for console here are between $89 and $119 Australian. Collectors Editions are generally $10-$20 more or $30 in the case of the GTAIV pack. The first CE that i ever saw down here that was purely purely rediculous was the MGS4 one which i paid $169 for, which had everything (more or less) that the US one had but it also included a figure of solid snake.

Yeah, I think it's been well-established by now that Australia tends to get screwed over very royally when it comes to pricing. Perhaps you're better off just importing the PS3 version from the US, since that system has no region locking at all?

@ Pepsiman, well i was considering getting just the standard edition since its like $90 cheaper. There are much better things i can buy for $200 even in australia than a CE for a game, so i wont lol.

Why don't you order it from the UK (seeing as the £ is weak right now) so it'll cost you $129; I'm not familiar with the Australian currency so I can't say whether that's cheap or expensive but it's certainly cheaper.

well, i'm mostly outraged about it in principle. I think i'm just gonna get the standard edition and use the rest of the money towards an arcade stick.
