Hey!

I drink monster, but I'm not planning on getting CoD this year. As such, I have a few codes for in game stuff (no real idea what that entails) that you guys can redeem at:

https://cod.monsterenergy.com/#redemption

(you need a CoD Elite account, I believe)

QZCG4VQ7GDW6C

ZNLWEDLH0WL5C

Since these are printed on ring-pulls, I could have miss-read them and zeros could be O's and the other way round, etc.

I miss Ryan Davis
I miss Ryan Davis

Listening to the podcast now, and it's goddamn tough =(

I love this picture :)

Attempted to turn it into an ACNL shirt (hope you don't mind), and thought I'd share it:

Still finding it hard to believe it's true :( RIP Ryan.

Had this picture on my computer for a while. Dunno if anyone else posted something like this, but this is McDonald's position on the matter.
Hope it helps :)

From what I've read, install is required, but it's whether or not the disk is in the console that matters in this case. I

f you want to play the game without the disk, and you didn't pay for it, then you have to pay some kind of fee.

At least that's how I've read it :S

But you would have to install it no matter what which means you would have to pay a fee to play a game if your not the first to install it. The not playing without the disk just seems like a bonus if you install if I understand it. Still seems a bit confusing because i wonder what the fee will be and if the second owner would keep the download forever or not.

As I see it: Yes, you have have to install no matter what, but you only have to pay if you want to play without the disk in (as it uses the game to authenticate the install, as the 360 does now).

Microsoft really need to start clarifying this stuff quickly before it gets too ahead of them.

@phantomzxro: I agree it would have been cool to see more games, but the main conference was for TV and people that aren't as into this stuff as we are. It was just to say, 'hey guys, this thing exists'. Hence why Call of Duty was the game they focussed on; it's a game they know that the mainstream know and love.

I don't really think it's a case of not having games to show, since, as they said, they're showing them at E3.

But whatever, I'm super excited for E3 now :)

Not surprised by gamers reactions to it. They always overreact and don't realize that this wasn't supposed to be the same kind of conference that Sony did. I'm excited about a new IP from Remedy over another Killzone or Infamous game. Overall I thought it was a decent conference. I'm waiting for E3 for the big game conference that gamers wanted.

This.

Also, it still seems weird to me that people have forgotten that today was supposed to be about the system and hardware side of things, and that they're focusing on games at E3. Something that they only mentioned recently too.

And for people complaining about the name: People thought '360' was stupid too, and 'Wii'. You'll get over it, and/or, just call it 'the xbox' as always tends to happen with consoles.

Yeah but the problem with that is we still did not get too much detail on the hardware or all these features. If your going to focus on this stuff over games then why did we not get into the core functions of these things. No always online debunk (which happened afterward), no on backward capabilities (happened afterward), used games fee and mandatory install (happened afterward), if you see where i'm going. I feel we did not get any in depth detail on any of these features.

So if you leave out games in your presentation you better have some great details or of course gamers will be disappointed, how can they not. I just think they could have teased some games at least to get people excited.

Hence why I said today, not just that conference/show...

They're talking more about specifics now, as we speak :/

I'm a little confused. It still works with no additional costs if you decide not to install a game onto a hard drive, correct?

Appears so.

It just seems to be to stop people installing it, then passing it on to other people to install and so on, without anyone seeing any money from it. Seems pretty fair to be honest.

Except all games must be installed to play.

Yeah i was going to say i thought all games required an install.

From what I've read, install is required, but it's whether or not the disk is in the console that matters in this case. I
