I've been playing on ps4. Maybe not a massive player base, but worth noting i have no problems finding matches.

If you're an audiophile, you'd probably wince when i say this. But I've been using a pair if pack-in samsung ear buds that came with my note 5. The sound quality is fine, from my point of view. But even better is that the mic is actually really good, probably because these are meant for use with a phone.

Just gotta be real careful about what games you buy from Bethesda from now on. Or really any publisher because this will become more and more commonplace. Businesses have a right to do whatever they want to maximize their profits. But consumers also have the right to be smart about what they buy. Game publishers do not have your best interests at heart so it's simple - don't preorder games. Wait until the verdict is out. Don't get burned by corporate marketing. If you preorder a game and it turns out not to be what was promised, you're a sucker and you have nobody to blame but yourself.

It's worth playing in a half year or so when the price drops. But not at full price. I do love the campaign, but it's just not big enough by itself to justify the price tag. Ultimately, it's a mp game at heart.

@dgtlty: you either buy them with real money or earn them very slowly through playing in game. You get random drops from them. Either cosmetic stuff, or now weapons.

By the way, cod was experimenting with this approach even in advanced warfare. Towards the end of the dlc they had some extra "retro" weapons, and before you could use them you had typo find a variant in a drop. bo3 expanded on that idea and this is just the continuation of that. You can see them pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with consumers.

Last one was like this too. In BO3 the guns that would normally be included in the dlc had to be unlocked in supply drops. That is the reason i choose to not buy this year's cod and switched to titanfall. When i buy a seasons pass to a game i have exactly zero interest in engaging with some bullshit free to play style mechanic to unlock guns that used to be included in the seasons pass. Cod can go to hell.
