My feelings about Game of Thrones haven't changed since this new season. It's one of my favorite ongoing TV shows. I think the story is a crappy string of random events that are just designed to make things more bleak in the world but not to advance it towards any sort of satisfying end. There's intrigue sure but I don't know it's missing some substance. The draw for me has always been the characters, the dialogue, the acting, and the lovely set designs. The action is good sometimes and other times it's just okay. That's why I have zero interest in the books because it's the production values that hook me, not so much the story.

I don't think America has produced a single good video game cartoon. However the worst video game anime adaptation I've seen was Power Stone. You'd think such a cool and crazy series of games would be natural fit for an anime format but it just comes across as a total abortion of a production. From the shit art style, the shit story, and the shit use of the video game property, it's not something I would ever recommend anyone watch even as a curiosity. Just go back and play the games, they're awesome.

Lucha Undeground is still among my favorite straight up TV shows going on right now. It's that good. I agree that the crowd is pretty rough in spots but at least it feeds into the sort of rugged underground fight club vibe that they're going for. I've never liked the "What?" thing because it comes off as people associating bad promos with Stone Cold which is just not true. Plus they sometimes edit the audio feed anyway.

The trios stuff is looking pretty awesome right now. I don't know if they can keep up momentum for a tag division like this. It just has to last until the end of the season right? Like I don't even know what a trio's championship run looks like to be honest but I think they have some fantastic teams getting booked. It's like they made an awesome lucha libre version of King of Fighters.

Triple threat with Mack, Cage, and Son of Havoc was great. These are three guys who have worked their asses off to make it to TV and all three deserve a spotlight.

I think as a whole the Aerostar v Drago series has been really good. Aerostar is terrific though he's also giving me a heart attack doing some of these spots. I've honestly not been a huge Drago fan mainly because I think he no sells a little bit too much for my taste. At least I can buy that it's just the natural toughness of dragon skin that lets him shake off the pain.

I think Lucha Underground proves that Triple H might have be wrong about kayfabe being dead. Even as a grown ass adult I want to believe that a dragon man and a space man are mercenaries who have been hired to fight each other in a Lucha temple.

On a side note Sheamus should really be worried about his spot right now. Not because of this accident with Daniel Bryan that stuff just happens, but because they recently got another Irish guy who is at least 10 times more interesting as a character and wrestler than Sheamus ever was. He'll probably be fine since he's "BIG".

Watched the first episode of Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold. It's a pretty interesting addition to the series. I think focusing on Aiolia upfront is a smart way to draw in a long time fan of the series like myself. Admittedly I could not get into Lost Canvas or Omega but let's face it, the Gold Saints are way cooler than a cast of characters that are essentially "Saint Seiya: the New Class." Also the twist at the end I find super intriguing.

After sacrificing themselves to break the Wailing Wall of Hades the Gold Saints have resurrected in Asgard as Einherjar. It's a good thing I've played Valkyrie Profile before so I have a decent sense for what that is and it's a pretty cool twist. I enjoy the call backs to the Asgard arc from the original TV run and I hope to see more imagery from Asgardian Myth for the God Warriors. It's gonna be all punches versus all weapons though I guess Dohko has weapons as well.

Dudes, that new episode of GIntama...fucking hysterical. The more opening intros of that show I see the more I can see why someone would produce Too Many Cooks. Even though I'd easily recommend this series, I'll say the more pop culture digs you recognize the harder you'll laugh. Finally this season has brought about my holy trinity of ongoing anime: Gintama, JoJo, and One Piece. If Hajime no Ippo comes back while these shows are still on I suppose that would make it a ...quad-rinity?

Finished Yowamushi Pedal. I kind of love-hate it. I think the characters (and designs) are lame, the music is cheesy, and the intentional humor is not funny. However because it has that over the top depiction of sports that I come to expect out of this genre I can't help but like it. I feel the same way about Kuroko's Basketball to be honest which is just getting ridiculous with its antagonists. They're almost using Stand abilities at this point and the next guy to overcome is totally just King Crimson from part 5 of JoJo.

Finished Parasyte a couple of weeks back. It was pretty good, better than I thought it would be. I think I could have done without the last like 4 minutes of that final episode. I sort of wish it could've ended with more of a "shit happens humans, deal with it" instead of being as predictable as it was. Overall it was a solid show featuring John Carpenter's The Thing. I think the title is somewhat of a misnomer considering the primary characters are more symbiotic than parasitic.

I saw Shokugeki no Soma. When I saw people describe it as 'food porn' I didn't expect it to be quite so literal at times. It's no Cooking Master Boy but I think I'm into it.

@retris: I had a feeling that was the case. I figured they'd be doing New Japan dates for most of this year didn't think they'd never be back. I don't remember them doing a farewell speech at the February show which is usually the procedure over there.

I agree to the second part, Chuck Taylor could tag with anybody and make it great. I just think the Best Friends as a team represented the best parts of PWG's tag team booking: skill, personality, teamwork, humor. I would've booked them as champs after Candice and Joey.

The teams for PWG's DDT4 2015 have been booked though it's not clear what the bracket will be for the tournament.

- Team Tremendous (Dan Barry & Bill Carr)

- Drew Gulak & Biff Busick

- Beaver Boys (Alex Reynolds & John Silver)

- The World's Cutest Tag Team (Candice LeRae & Joey Ryan)

- Inner City Machine Guns (Ricochet & Rich Swann)

- Monster Mafia (Josh Alexander & Ethan Page)

- Andrew Everett & Trevor Lee

- Love Gun (Chris Sabin & Matt Sydal)

Non-Tournament Match: Johnny Gargano vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey

PWG Championship Match: Roderick Strong (c) vs. Brian Cage vs. Chris Hero

I'll probably go because tag teams are one of my favorite things in that promotion. It just sucks that it will be two events in a row without my two favorite teams: The Young Bucks and The Best Friends. I think both dudes in Roppongi Vice are terrific but it makes me so sad to see Barreta with anyone other than Chuck Taylor. Here's proof that Chuckie T is a genius.

For RAW they should make the Samoans a faction who start feeling entitled to more title shots. Bring in Rock and Rikishi in backstage segments where they start strong arming Triple HHH into giving their golden boys special treatment. It could be a reality based angle if the rumors about that family tree not being happy about Wrestlemania are to be believed. Still not watching that product. Still just shaking my head at RAW results.

I like to think that the monster in the cage is actually Pentagon's master. Like he's ninja sneaking into the cage room during his off time just to pay homage to whatever the hell it is. It can't talk, it can only emit psychic waves of cero miedo. Or maybe after he saw it he realized nothing is scarier than whoever his master is. I'm probably wrong but I don't care. The more ridiculous the better.

I think if you want to turn Fenix heel this season then this is how I'd explain it. He lost 999 lives in Grave Consequences so in order to preserve his final life he'll start being evil and take every advantage he can to live, and become the champion I guess. I still have no idea about Katrina's true motives other than she's some sort of shadow specter who wants to lick losers. Bring back Mil and create a Katrina faction.

Wish I could've gone to PWG last night. Eh, I didn't really feel like missing work to stand for 4-6 hours if my favorite tag teams aren't going to be there. If anything I can feel good about giving the crowd the tiniest bit more space to enjoy the show. Sounds like an awesome card for sure but I guess I won't know until I see the DVD.

As someone who never even saw her husband wrestle in WWE outside of clips on Botchamania, I did become a fan of AJ Lee during the short time I was watching despite the Divas booking being some of the trashiest shit I've seen in a while. Hope she ends up somewhere more dignified if she chooses to keep wrestling. AJ Punk versus Candice LeRae. Book that shit.

I don't know if many of you watch Ring of Honor TV, but if you haven't seen Dalton Castle you really, really need to. He's incredible

I saw him in the aforementioned tournament from before. Meh, he seems alright. The wire frame cape kind of lost it's impact since I saw Sexy Star do it first. I feel like that gimmick relies too heavily on his slaves' ability to keep a straight face.

China Don't Care.

I'm up to episode 62 of Gintama. I don't want to say the early episodes were bad but compared to the stuff that comes up after the first 20-30 episodes or they're a bit boring. The last couple episodes I watched were tight as hell. I think the episode where they act as ninjas (episode 44) is my favorite so far. Haven't laughed that hard in awhile.

Oh gawd, that was definitely one of those episodes where you're like "Dude....I'm into all of this." Once you pass that threshold of those first couple dozen episodes it just never stops getting crazier and funnier. As someone who enjoys anime parody it's definitely my favorite within that genre.
