I killed Lydia when she stepped in front of one of my lighting spells. She flew to the other side of the room with all of my precious gifts to her flying everywhere. At least this happened before I reloaded a save.

I can verify that the rueful axe does not count as a daedric artifact. I'm worried cause I chose the axe over the mask and that means I might not be able to get the trophy.

The issue isn't as wide spread as you think. My Save file is 8mb and it's running the same as it always has. I've had two lock-ups and the game stutters at times but it runs great most of the time.

I found a similar thing near Whiterun but it was a Rat fighting ring. Anyway, I voice the sentiment of everyone else, killing people OK, killing animals no.

The time to upgrade your HDD was 2 months ago. Now you have to wait until next year.

You do know that Fallout and Skyrim are set in different universes, right? Aside from the code and format the games are completely different. I would buy Fallout NV and play it later but just buy Skyrim and play it now. You won't regret it.

Of course, but my concern is going back to NV AFTER playing Skyrim. I don't want it to seem like an old poopy game after playing what seems to be a serious GOTY contender.

The mechanics are different enough were you won't feel like you're going back to an older game. Plus the writing style and dialogue choices are different enough in both games that you can have a good time in NV after playing Skyrim.

I have my smithing up to 70 and my enchanting about the same. I should probably just finish those. Alchemy though has been a bother. Is their a way, besides looking up the potions online for me to find out what all the ingredients I have do? I have a chest with almost every single ingredient yet for less than half of them I don't know more than one of their effects.

@Atlas: There's flaxseed in Skyrim?

So I'm 60 hours in, level 29, and I still have trouble beating stronger foes. The reason is that instead of min maxing my character I've been doling out points and my time in other pursuits. The result is that if I role into a dungeon without a companion I'm screwed. Anyone in the same boat I'm in?

On lock picking, I'm interested to know if any of you put even one perk into that skill tree. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes really easy. It used to take me 10 picks to get through a master door but now, I can get through it with only one pick. I personally don't think it's too easy. I just think that Bethesda, smartly, made it more of a skill learned by the player instead of a thing to really level up.

I'm not sure which choice to make for the Azura quest. The black soul gem always gives a grand soul while the other one it varies. My character is good for the most part so I'm not sure what the right choice is for the way I'm playing.
