I've been slowly upgrading what I have, and fortunately I found some decent stuff. I got the leggings from those turtle knights and upgraded it twice. It's pretty strong stuff, and I have the strength and vitality to make good use of it. I do have other heavier stuff, but I've trying to avoid tanking everything, especially since I read things that imply that becomes nonviable later on

Any game that let's me steamroll through early-game content using end-game characters is A-OK in my books. I love them all! Especially for how easy is made Dragon's Dogma

@turboman: At this point, given the influx of lapsed fans signing up for the network, and new visitors to the site, maybe you should edit your first post to include a little FAQ to help people get back up to speed.

@mildmolasses: I don't wanna spoil too much here, but you can skip the Ruin Sentinals with a Pharros Lockstone and the Antiquated Key ;) Your run ain't over yet pal.

Actually, what @mosespippy said really helped me out. I had tried to go to the Tower of Flame before, but missed the chain that opened the door. I had assumed that it was meant for later in the game.

So anyway, I went that way, beat both of the knights, beat that weird 4-armed, 2-torsoed thing on the boat, and then went and beat the ruin sentinels. I had a hell of a run today and am all the way back on board with DS2

@mosespippy: Nope. Guess I haven't been as thorough as I had hoped. I just looked that up, so hopefully that will help me out because 2 hours of getting beat down by the sentinels was pushing me to my breaking point. Thanks!

I don't like Mojo Rawley at all

I like the gimmick but I don't believe in the performer.

One thing I like about 80s wrestling is that all the faces are so amped up and aggro and crazy that they're completely unpredictable. Interviewing Randy Savage, whether he's a heel or a face, seems dangerous because you never know if or when he was going to flip out and start wrecking things. That level of unpredictability, of these guys just being Goddamn forces of nature that no one can control, I do kind of miss that.

Mojo Rawley is the Hacksaw Jim Duggan for the new age. He can come out, get a good reaction, never have anything near a great match (that doesn't involve cages, tuxedos, coal miner's glove and the loser leaving town), and still be an enjoyable element of the show. Then, in 20 years, he will be a surprisingly enjoyable element of their analyst panels.

@mosespippy: God damn this game and its lack of explanations!

As for unexplored areas, I would love to know. I feel I've been pretty thorough, but maybe I missed something.

I guess I'll go drop a sign outside the Pursuer and hope for the best. Thanks!

Edit: actually I haven't done that mansion yet that the Cartographer gives the key for. Is that advisable at this point? Or is that something I should do later?

I would like to throw my opinion out there. I am fucking terrible at this game and I have completely run out of souls. I am stuck at the ruin sentinels with half health, and no one left to farm and no more effigies available to me. I used up all of my boss souls to level my character which didn't provide much help. Granted, I haven't tried leaving a summon sign, but I can't imagine I would be much use to anyone on account of the aforementioned sucking and half health. I'm pretty sure my Dark Souls run has ended here since even my attempts at summoning help for that battle have ended in comically disastrous ways

@ryudo: well the site didn't load at all a few minutes ago, so maybe that was the issue

I actually agree with much of what he said in that video, the problem is I just can't stand his personality.

That's how I always feel about him. Dude is spot on almost all the time, but even then, fuck that guy
