I'd say RE4. No one seems to have given that game the respect it deserves. It started changed the standard of really what we call action shooters today.
"

That's downright ridiculous.  "Changing the standard" is the most generic response used when praising a game.  What does it usually mean?  "I can't really think of anything better to say."  For a game with such high scores, Resident Evil 4 has some absurdly clunky controls.  Leon displays amazing acrobatics in cutscenes and yet controls with the grace of a tank scaling the Himalayas in-game.  How exactly did Resident Evil 4 change the standard?  Making everyone lift the over-the-shoulder concept is NOT changing the standard, it's simply popularizing a good idea.  RE4 didn't change any standards."
I have to say, the controls in RE4 weren't perfect, but I defy you to actually argue that they weren't better than the previous games.

Well, yeah, I wasn't trying to say you were WRONG, I was just saying that they're not trying to give a BAD experience.  But they deliberately cripple it to make you want to buy the full version.

"I would rather stick with the Blade system myself."
The Blade system is still a good example of UI design done right.  The problem is that the Blades were designed before Microsoft really had an idea of how all-encompassing the service was going to be, and they've really struggled to fit all of the stuff they're trying to show you now.  Between trying to advertise new things and give you access to games, movies, pictures, music, demos, downloads, trailers, and the list goes on and on, the blades have become too cluttered and really wonky to find stuff in.  The stuff we see where you click on a game and a little sidebar pops up with its downloadable content, and things like that, will do wonders towards making the entire Dashboard less focused around The List Of Stuff and more on "I want to play BioShock.  Oh, hey, there's a new DLC out? I should get that."  Basically, rather than having to go out and browse for what you want, the dashboard will bring it to you.

Of course, that's just what it looks like right now.  Who knows how it'll actually turn out?  I've got confidence in the 360 team, because they already surprised me once with the current Dashboard.

"And, in addition, not earning any points for adding missing information (in my case a UPC/A code) when I have received points for similar submissions is most certainly a bug."
In all honesty, though, is a game's UPC code really that important to the site?

I do think that assigning points based on simply the amount of words is a pretty bad idea; that will encourage needless verbosity.  If we start seeing 5 paragraphs of explanation for how the Remote Mine works in Smash Brothers Brawl... I'll explode. :(

Guitar Hero: Acoustic would be really awesome.  There's a lot of songs that just don't fit into the current "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH ROCK" setting that GH as a series has held to.

Wax Off just gets bloody NUTS once the enemies start to pick up.  Scarily enough, I've only gotten my highest scores while trying to get it, it's like it's easier to kill stuff when it's in my way rather than when I'm actually trying to score points.

Getting in on the ground floor of a community is always pretty awesome; you get to feel like you're exploring uncharted Internet waters.

There... are... uncharted waters in the Internet still, right?  Ones that haven't been fouled by <insert shock video/image here>?

Glad to see an actual section going up on this; the inconsistency amongst tables was starting to get a bit grating. =o

I agree. There's really no reason to use numbers when doing reviews; they can provide an at a glance summary of the review, and I like how GB's system doesn't say that a 5-star game is perfect.  A game's ultimate goal should not be "Get 10/10 from everywhere", it should be "Entertain and inspire EVERYONE."  In the end, it doesn't matter what the number is, it's the game.

Well, haven't the achievements already had icons?

And it shows you the latest four achievements when you load someone's gamercard...

Uh, not to burst the bubble, but isn't this pretty much not news?
