I originally heard "Wizard Towers" on PyrionFlax's stream when the game was first released. Their reasoning (I think) was that they look like those stone buildings or structures along the wall of a castle where the top of a column is wider than the bottom (think Lego wizard tower set) but without the pointed top.
It also looks like there's a "Wizard Tower" building in Clash of Clans that looks very similar too.
The people I play with call them "fuck boy shacks" so seems everyone has a name.
I still think it's a waste of time to customize all your soldiers when clearly they're all just going to die.
Especially when the player feels rushed because they're on some kind of time limit for the episode. Customizing new characters every time one dies is really going to add up on the clock, and there's going to be lots of deaths because of the rushing. It's a cycle where you're actually contributing to your problem.
I was surprised they hadn't customized a bunch of wm and other friends-of-the-site people between recordings.
