@vinny the unique ammo types from powers only affect the whole squad once you rank up the respective ammo powers to max level and evolve them into the "squad [ammo type]" powers (spoiler tagged just in case alex wanted to avoid game mechanics spoilers for whatever reason)
Though he has the auto-level on. So I don't think its a guarantee he gets that option.
There are more involved dungeons latter on that have combat and exploration. More resources are also present in latter ruins and you can get resources from the quarry latter in the game so you have to worry less about mining.
@vinny@alex The best equipment is sold by the C-Sec Requisitions Officer on the Citadel as he sells the "Spectre - Master Gear." You will recognize them by their names, its just a bunch of consonants that begin with HMW. You should be able to afford them with your oodles of cash.
