@familyphotoshoot: It said nothing about what's to come in Episode 3. I think the fact they exist in the same universe and have a few crossing threads means nothing to the overarching plot to either series.
@JoeyRavn: All of Valve's games have frequent loading screens. Portal had one after every test chamber. It's probably a limitation of the Source engine if anything.
@ShiftyMagician: I was having that same thought about how silly it was to use spoiler tags in a spoiler thread, but I always like to make double sure I don't ruin somebody's enjoyment of the story.
Completely agree. Once I saw the roof collapse and saw the moon, I had a mental double take. The only thing that made that not perfect was, I assume through the fault of my crappy computer, at the very start of them getting sucked through the portal, Chell's arms actually detached from my camera for a moment.
I felt like the other aspects of the ending were extremely effective in that regard, especially the little toss out of the companion cube. But those singing turrets just felt out of place, even with GlaDOS singing at the end.
Was anybody else kinda taken out of the impact of the ending by the singing turrets? I know Portal has always had a sense of humor, but even that was a little much for me.
