Guys, I think I made a mistake this morning watching a video on the new Sim Xperience Accuforce wheel. I was saving some dough for a new mountain bike this year but yeah... all the money is going to be going into updating the racing rig. What wheels & pedals are you guys using? I'm still on a super old Logitech Driving Force Pro.

I'm currently waiting on some of the simxperience motion components to build my DIY motion rig and well there is a reason they don't let you see their forums until after you purchase from them it would seem. There are a lot of people waiting on stuff to ship, I saw threads from people who ordered parts in May through August of last year and they all magically got their stuff in November which I wonder if that is when they started taking pre-orders on the wheel. I have a very robbing Peter to pay Paul vibe from them but that is just complete speculation on my part. Now in the end everyone seems to be happy when they finally get their stuff but I sort of fear even talking about them since the owner has shown on their forums to insist on at least one person taking their money back because they complained too much about the wait. The owner also likes to talk about issues being a different area of the business and he'll have to check in and see what is going on, research into Villers Enterprises, Limited shows they have 4 employees and at least 3 of them are directly related including a father/son. Every street view I've looked up of their various business address listings leads to what looks like a garage attached to a house. They also don't like to answer the phone but do normally respond to submitted questions from their website in a day or day and half.
People on their forums do seem to be happy with the wheels they are getting as they slowly trickle out and they also seem to eventually resolve any problems with other hardware but if you are in any kind of hurry I'd look elsewhere.
Myself I just started week 3 of my wait for the motion starter kit and universal seat base despite the FAQ claiming starter kits mail in 1-3 days and full stage 1 kits 1-2 weeks. When I contacted them they said expect a 2-3 week period for my stuff.
Fanatec also has a wait period at the moment on their new wheel base and that's going to take at least 4 months before I get that according to them.
I guess the lesson is boutique stuff takes awhile so be prepared.
It's good that there are PS4 exclusives, it's good that there are Xbox One exclusives and it's good that there are PC exclusives.
Is it because that drives people to purchase consoles for a specific game? That's the only reason I can think of that makes exclusives a good idea, which in turn leads to competition.
As a PC gamer I couldn't see any point until now in getting a new console, Bloodborne was enough to get me to finally say what the hell and buy one. Rock Band is what got me to buy a console from the last generation.
While I don't agree with the "never" aspect I do think it's in their best interest to keep it off of the PC until they have a more substantial PS4 catalog and a period of a year or more. I don't like it from the player standpoint but getting MS and Sony to throw more money at tent pole titles in hopes of another system seller is a good thing in the end for everyone.
On that first lap mess I was picking my way through it and a car facing the wrong direction decided that would be a good time to try to turn around, I tried to go wide to avoid his move but he still nosed into me and nudged me out into the grass.
I'm not sure what the difference was, if the weather was different or if it was just me but this morning I could turn 53's and stuck to the track using the medium downforce default setting. I'll get some practice in this week and try again next week to race with you all.
Well I'm well off the pace with this car with a best lap in the lower 53 second range. I haven't driven the SM before and just noticed the schedule was up yesterday so I'm going in with the default setups. I'll try not to get in the way of anyone in my first Giant Bomb race.
Someone in the chat mentioned shared setups, where are we posting those?
I've Finally got my cockpit put back together again after it being down for a year and would like to join in with you guys. I filled out the google application and my iracing name is Richard Ashby. I'll keep an eye out for any response.
