@skinkybob: Funnily enough, that’s precisely why BotW works so well for me compared to so many other open world games. I don’t have a map littered with dozens of icons or feel the same drive to collect every little bit of loot or resource in the environment. So for me, having it be primarily about the exploration was amazingly freeing. There are lots of interesting moments to discover without every little thing vying for my attention all at once.
I really hope @ybbaaabby sticks with the trilogy and sees it through. There are some really cool moments in there, especially towards the end of it. (In fact, it was interesting to see some of the foreshadowing again already in this QL.) Plus, there's a woman with a giant red afro.
A rogue-like with survival elements? I’m going to have to pass. A shame, too, since I was semi-curious about the game. I rarely enjoy run-based games, and the gameplay loop here doesn’t seem to justify retreading the same ground.
