I just returned from seeing District 9, and let me tell you something! This is a movie that I would definitely call a must-see! To me, this is a movie best suited for viewing with as little knowledge about it as possible, so you won't find any spoilers here.
 
From the intriguing documentary-like opening to the climactic battle, District 9 is sure to have your complete and undivided attention from start to finish. It takes sci-fi in a eerily realistic direction, from the inherent racism that we sure know would be an issue to the twist that's both horrifying and totally awesome. Even the cliffhanger ending is done in a way that makes you feel that weren't cheated out of a conclusion, and provides enough mystery to ensure you'll be eagerly awaiting District 10, or whatever they decide to call the next one.
 
I would go so far as to call this the movie of the year, what about you guys? What were your thoughts on it?

Well, just like everyone else it seems, I had rather nasty falling out with Gamespot...I'll let the nasty thoughts set in. No worries, I can wait. All better now? Great, now after a while of saying I would join Giant Bomb, I finally have! So, woohoo!
