@netkitten: They'd probably enjoy Super up until the stuff directly following the Future Trunks Saga, but the ToP is literally 40 episodes of the kind of stuff they complain about the most. The pace of Super is also a problem - it's not quite as atrocious as original DBZ but it is definitely somewhere in between DBZ and DBKai, in terms of there being stretches where things are not proceeding as quickly as you would want.

@jume1989: It's not even really that though, right? Even after Goku gets better he sort of just ain't shit at any point in the Androids/Cell Sagas. I have no idea why they would make him get sick anyways instead of just having the androids handle him in order to set up Vegeta being momentarily stronger than him (could explain it by saying that Goku spent too much time training up Gohan which held back his own training, meanwhile Vegeta was out in space on the meteor and lightning planet going as hard as possible for 3 straight years), then have Goku recover from being toasted and get back on par with Vegeta, and then the saga could proceed basically identically to how it plays out.

@nephrahim: I don't think they're being too harsh at all. It's been 11 weeks since this thing started and some people are still fucking trying to assert their preferences by using every avenue possible to advise Jeff and Dan on how to watch the show, even though the podcast itself has had, in all 10 episodes, a short segment where they explicitly state that they are not interested in anyone's opinion on what to watch or how to watch it. At a certain point you have to take the kid gloves off and tell people that they are acting like trash, because unfortunately some people have very low emotional/interpersonal intelligence and can absolutely not take a hint or connect the dots unless you leave absolutely no doubt that (a) you're talking about them and (b) what they are doing is unwelcome. This is the first time that these idiots have actually affected one of Jeff or Dan's enjoyment of the episodes and at a certain point they're being selfish and ruining it for Jeff and Dan and by extension the rest of us. It's just gotta stop. We don't need the timing of a reveal being ruined every time it falls just outside of the set of episodes slated for a given week's podcast.

@miceman64: People will continue to recommend whatever garbage they remember being good when they are 12, and thankfully Jeff and Dan will continue to ignore everyone giving them "helpful" advice and tips on how to watch the show. It's just more fuel for the fire, and by fire I mean Jeff and Dan spending 5 minutes per episode shitting on the people that can't just enjoy the podcast without trying to assert their own preferences on how Jeff and Dan go about their business.

@miceman64: You say "for some reason" as if the reason was not that it's completely hilarious and well-worth including in the final cut. Kai cuts out bad and boring filler, there is plenty of non-fighting, non-integral stuff left over, and Ginyu-Bulma is definitely worth keeping even if it doesn't meaningfully impact the advancement of the plot.

Man anime nerds are the worst. You guys can't even **see** the words "subs" and "dubs" together without needing to put on your splaining pants and start lecturing the room about which is better in your expert opinions. I haven't listened to the podcast yet either but I truly hope that the context that subs and dubs get brought up in is Jeff and Ben talking about how awful arguments between subs and dubs zealots are and not an actual debate about subs vs dubs.

@allprox:

Seriously. I know that development is hard and people tend to underestimate the amount of work required to implement and polish gameplay features, but like holy crap. 10 years is a long, long time to spend polishing a game where it seems like it only took a year or two to implement around 90% of the featureset. I guess it would make sense like you said if this one guy was the only designer and only coder on the project.

Is it just me or would this be an absolutely perfect game to offer a VR option? Have the Spy operated by M+K and put the Sniper into VR goggles and you have a perfect way to do co-op on a single machine with no screen-peeking guaranteed. The game does not seem like a resource hog so it seems like it would be feasible.

I haven't noticed them post in the comments, and their references to the comments are mostly "hey those comments sure are full of nonsense that we aren't going to engage with" but whatever dude, my bad. Pretty sure the comments on this series have so far been absolutely loaded with spoilers about things that matter more than a 45-second B plot so I'm really not sure what the big deal is here.

@rujasu: The series aired like 20 years ago. People that don't want spoilers are smart enough to not read these comments and Jeff and Dan are certainly not wading into this toxic waste dump of anime pedantry.
