Women in the tech and gaming world need to take responsibility for their image as well. It does not help matters when Veronica Belmont and Felicia Day host a webcast called "Vaginal Fantasy" and Nixie Pixel is posting top down cleavage shots as her profile pics. Many of the foremost "nerdy women" play up their sexuality and play a pivotal part of keeping the industry sexist.

Things aren't really going to move forward until we start to see women that don't talk about being a woman in the gaming industry, but are like Jonathan Blow, creating personal games that they care deeply about.

I didn't find what I saw of Shadows of the Damned funny at all. It was a little sad, actually. A bunch of grown men giggling over a gun called boner. It just reeks of sexual frustration. That said, glad they're going to continue doing what they do. It's always interesting, that's for sure.
I'm pretty sure laughing over boner guns is just a sign of being a dude that understands camp.

Getting self-righteous over boner guns is a sign of having nothing better to do.

Hey, internet message board! I disconnected my consoles from the internets! I don't like the internet! So I wdnt to this forum to tell you!

Also, the whole "I don't want them telling me what to do with my console" is nearly always the cry of the pirate.

This whole thread is retarded and I'm sorry for myself for having opened it. @Sil3n7

if you're gonna go current gen console game Dead Space is the way to go. It has a good narrative. The sound design will scare the shit out of you. I am a huge fan of the horror game genre but I wasn't able to play that game in the dark.

Also, Resident Evil 4 can be pretty scary and has a decent narrative.

In general overclocking will not result in a huge gain in performance. Saying not to ask for specs makes this thread pointless, because each CPU/GPU combo responds differently to increased clock speeds.

I have an overclocked Core 2 Duo. It's stock 2.4GHz and running at 3.2GHz. This chip is CPU enouch for any game on the market, but until I upgraded my 8800GTS to a GTX 460 I wasn't able to play at a higher quality setting. Video cards will generally give very small gains in fps for very high overclocks. GPUs in my experience also tend to die faster with overclocking than.

Of couse, as with everything, your mileage may vary. And my advice is try overclocking, don't expect miracles, and upgrade your video card. You don't need a whole new rig, if you have a C2D just get a new video card.

Oh, also, my Core 2 Duo is running on the stock cooler with that overclock. You don't necessarily need a new cooler, just dust out the one you got.

This has been my number one anticipated title for about 6 months. After playing the demo last night I have to say that I'm considering canceling my preorder.

The game lacks atmosphere. Saying the opening beats Uncharted 2 is completely wrong, simply because while the entire chapter is taking place the environment never feels like it's a crashing ship. The controls are wonky and there's a huge animation priority delay following almost anything you do (especially combat).

The choppiness off the framerate can be forgiven, but the way the story unfolds is completely terrible. Ninja Theory has been talking up the cinematic script of Enslaved for months, yet basically at the end of the demo decisions are made and feelings are changed in seconds that should have taken quite a while. It all feels campy, but unintentional.

I don't know... if this is an old build and the storyline, lip syncing and so on is going to be much better in the final game I'm all for getting the game. If this is the way the game is going to be when its released I'm gonna wait till it hits bargain bins. As it stands it is a huge disappointment.

I hate GameStop for how they treat their employees. Which is similar to how I treat my cats shit.

They lie about the profitability of new games. They buy most new games for around $38 and sell them for the full $60.

I seriously think that anyone that believes their BS about making now money on new games is a softhead.

I like my local GameStop, they've got some good employees and it's still attached to a Barnes and Noble so I'll go there to browse their used game selection. I generally have a good experience there, but I still dislike the corporation.

I think you are my hero. I agree with everything you said. But I still think they should redesign the character to look like someone who could actually do damage.

Also, as for outsourcing titles, companies that haven't made a smash game yet, and so on please refer to Rocksteady and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
