Weren't yukes not working on 2K20 because they were making a fresh new wrestling game. Which I assume is what will be announced.

I'm hoping it's a management sim. Like the old Smackdown Vs raw games but really in depth.

Playing with Fire. Kids film. Fairly fun, averagely funny. Depends on how much you like John Cena I guess

I'm a dad...I don't actually think this has sunk in yet. My daughter is 7 days old. Wow, I'm a dad. I am responsible for another human being.

Yeah that's weird.

Anyway, games. I'm looking for recommendations. If there are other threads in the same vein I apologise.

What games would be easy to play in short bursts? Must be pauseable (not a word) too. I'll play just about any genre.

I just finished Doom Eternal which shockingly worked well. Do a combat encounter, check if the little one is still breathing (I literally do this multiple times a day...she's so quiet when she sleeps. It's scary).

I am also popping in and out of Animal Crossing. That game is perfection for right now. You can see totally different things at different times of day. So when the little one won't settle at 4 in the morning (like now) I can jump in for 5 minutes (when I finally calm her down) and catch a few bugs and whatnot. There's no energy meter like Stardew so you can just pick up and play whenever (I loved Stardew). Also the game is so laid back. I don't feel I need to constantly play it. I can play 15 hours one day and just 5 minutes the next there's just no rush (except Tom Nook and his loans the bell robbing bastard).

So yeah, ignore my waffle, games what would you guys play in my scenario?

Shit, I'm actually a dad. I have to be an adult and everything.

I've listened to a few episodes and unfortunately there is very little to no Dan in most episodes. Which is a shame because he has great charisma (dunno why I need to say that here of all places). I think his biggest contribution was to the latest (TV Bracket) episode.

The Arkham Knight - Third time trying to make it through this game. I don't know why it doesn't click. It just never seems to. I loved the first two. I'm enjoying it. I have every time I've played it, I'm just not hooked.

Also I got back into oberwatch. My Lucio game is on point.

I don't have many bug bears but rude people just get on my tits.

So today I was walking home from work. Minding my business, listening to a podcast. Two women approach me jogging along the pavement (sidewalk?). There is just about room for two side by side where I am walking. They see me, I see them. I position myself as far left as I can without stepping into mud (its been raining a lot lately, and I couldn't go right or I would be on a busy road). The woman, still approaching, see me move to the left but just keep coming. I cant move any further left, I refuse to step in mud. All one of them needs to do is slow down and go single file for a split second to avoid collision. Do they? Do they bollocks. Cant interrupt their important conversation. Now that's just rude in my opinion.

Seeing this about to happen I tense up knowing that If i do so she will take the full force of her pace when she clips me, yet she still tuts as she is knocked back a step or two. FROM RUNNING IN TO ME!

I made all the effort to avoid the collision short of walking into the road or stepping in mud she did nothing. Like seriously some people just wind me up. Anyway, rant over. Did I do the right thing, should I have just stood in mud to avoid a collision?

What is the rudest thing anyone has done to you?

Halo Reach

This was always my favourite Halo game. I have been a fan of the series since day one, all the way back to the days of the original. I even liked the second in the series, especially loved dual wielding. I've just slowly been working my way through it again. It's still super fun. It feels shockingly like Destiny though. So much so, sometimes i'll find myself trying to triple jump across gaps and fall to my death rather stupidly

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

I got an Xbox One X at Christmas, so far I have played Jedi: Fallen Order and this and, oh my god does Hellblade look beautiful. I've overlooked this game since release and in one hand its a shame because Senua's Sacrifice is amazing, on the other I got an Xbox One for Christmas (I already said that) and I bought a new TV last week (7 inches bigger than the previous one, and so much better looking) so now is probably a perfect time to play this. It looks incredible. Sound's amazing in 5.1 and I can not wait to play more.
