Well, let's be brutally honest here: It is a blatant rip-off. No, not the fact that Sony creates their own cross-over brawler (Nintendo didn't "invent" either of the two things), but the way how it all comes together. The way it looks, is structured, will most likely play - it all just screams at the top of its lungs: "I hope we can copy Smash Bros. story of success." They didn't even try to be original, or so it seems at this point.
But I still fail to see why that is supposed to be such a big deal. It's not like ripping off successful concepts is anything new in this (or any) line of business - blatant or subtle.
Come on dude, you should have expected a negative response to any criticism for the site. Many of the people here have major hard-ons for the crew and will defend them to no end. Giant Bomb could put out a podcast of them farting into the mic for 3 hours and people would say it was the best one yet. The OP has a right to express his opinion. Everyone needs to lighten up.
You're not being serious, right? That was as far away from constructive criticism as my asshole is from much needed pottery at this moment.
You don't even need to be reading between the lines to make out all kinds of personal insults to the crew in that BS opening post. If you wanna criticize - which is definitely NOT a no-go on here -, do it right, at least!
Loved it. Platinumed both Snake Eater and Peace Walker (my "secret" favorite of the series, I guess.) Had tons of fun playing the Extra Ops online. They did such a great job porting these games to HD. Get it.
