For me, the best game where you can play as Superman is LEGO Batman 2 just because it plays the iconic Superman theme when you're flying around in the open world sections of Gotham City. It's a small touch, but the first time it happened, I had the biggest smile after nearly passing out from laughter since I didn't expect it. Plus, that game was actually pretty fun to get 100% achievements in (I haven't played much of most of the other LEGO games, but I've heard they're all pretty much the same aside from the licenses).

In terms of a Superman-centric game, I kinda like the idea of the Superman Returns game that came out alongside the movie where his "health" is determined by how much of Metropolis gets destroyed. If someone could make something like that, but make it better and more fun, and/or have it be a mechanic that affects Superman's morale/will to fight (which won't kill him per se, but will affect how well he fights hand-to-hand and how effective his other powers work), I could see that being fun if it's balanced correctly and fun.

Alternatively, do something like Final Fantasy II/IV where you start off as regular Clark Kent and build up your stats in terms of physical strength, speed, etc. Then, when you finally become Superman proper, those stats will be boosted compared to the others.

For me it's Animal Crossing on the Switch since it came out at the right time of the year, and I'm still playing it (I bought it a week or two after it came out) even though my island isn't as amazing looking as a lot of the ones I've seen, including my sisters-in-law's islands.

In terms of what I think the crew will pick, I'm betting it'll be Hades since I don't think I heard anyone say anything super bad about it. I still need to buy it (especially since it sounds like the Switch version is just as good, if not better with the handheld mode, as the other versions), but it sounds like something up my alley since I love a good rouge-like/lite that encourages you to keep getting better without it feeling TOO punishing.

nthing Stardew Valley. Hearing Dan talk about it on the Bombcast got me kinda interested, but the QL and the segment on UPF (I don't remember which one, but it was in the first few months of the year) where he went into the mines pretty much sold me on it. I've put a little over 60 hours into it, and it's my current go-to game for an hour or two when I get home from work.

Edit: The UPF segment was from March 11th, about 30 minutes in according to QL Crew.

I'm super happy for Dan and future Ryckert, Bianca. After the month of exile and seeing/hearing him with the GBEast crew, I think he fits a lot more with them than the main crew (although I will miss Dan going into heel mode with Jason).

With Danny mentioning that Alt+F1 and Danswers will continue with him, and the timing of Dan Ryckert's return from exile and today's announcement, I wouldn't be too surprised if Danny will be the new GBEast duder.

Alternatively, he entered the Lang Zone, never escaped it's grasp, and will become new C3PO/COO/CEO/co-founder of Iron Galaxy Studios. (I'm mostly kidding, but stranger things have happened)

Even if I'm wrong about my prediction, I do hope that Danny will be awesome at whatever the future holds for him and his wife.

Unless something really great comes out between now and December, my gut tells me the top three will likely end up being (going from 1st to 3rd) Doom, Overwatch, and Hitman since it seems like those were the three games the guys couldn't (and still kinda can't in some ways) stop gushing about when those were brand new.

Also, the only game I've played on this list is Stardew Valley after hearing Dan's praise of it. As good as that game is, I highly doubt it will be a very strong contender going up against a number of the other games listed since I don't think anyone aside from Dan has played it. Hopefully Dan will fight for it, but I have a gut feeling that fight won't last long.

I didn't know about Patrick until now, but I saw Dan's news a few hours ago. So much good news from the duders in the past couple days that it makes my shitty week a little better. :)

Also, if (and I literally mean if, since I know he mentioned this possibly not happening) Dan and Bianca ever have a kid, I hope their and Patrick's kid can start a silly rivalry over Mario Maker that ends in a loser leaves town match play together if/when they meet up in person.

Mine would have to be Marvel Heroes (2016 as of this post). It's one of my favorite getting drunk games in that it's super easy to play, fills whatever part of my life lacked a Diablo-style game, and the fact that it's free makes me not feel bad for if/when I get burnt out on it since I've spent less than $20 on it (I've bought a couple XP boosts and that Captain America: Civil War costume/character pack that Steam had on sale during the Summer Sale that was 90% off the usual price) due to the fact that I know I'll come back to it eventually, which happened recently when I was bored, drunk, and decided to get back into it thanks to the aforementioned Civil War pack.

That game is still fun if you want something very Diablo-like (at least until Diablo 2 since I've never played Diablo 3, which I've heard got pretty good once the expansions came out) and free.

I actually forgot about that, but now that you mention it, I remember that Dan seemed really interested in the idea of getting one of those tablets for playing games while on a flight.

If Dan really was leaving GB for good and/or moving to the east coast and joining the GBEast team, I imagine that he'd announce it in a formal way before doing something big as a final goodbye. Going by what I've read in the past couple pages of this thread, he might be just going on vacation and wanted to do some kind of wrestling-style sendoff. Either way, we'll find out in less than 24 hours, and I'm kinda scared about the idea of a Dan-less GB (he was one of the big reasons why I got a premium account). :(
