Seriously, I'm 1:11 into this and Abby seems to have just turned her brain off, trying to carve an outdoor space into the kill room, and kept putting the bonfire on the basketball court to test if it would fit after she carved out a little more until finally giving up.

wtf was wrong with using the basketball court?? Dan died outside too, what's the big deal?

"Oh no we're out of money! Austin, you go cook another thousand plates of food until you catch fire. And you, you go make some chicken nugs, you look hungry."

Balance is in the low double digits, austin is unconscious surrounded by plates of food, and yet the nugs must flow.

This freaking killed me. They're trying to murder someone by locking them in a kitchen and forcing them to make all these meals and everyone outside is heating up tv dinners in the microwave :/

So Jason just drank roughly 4060mg of sodium and 224g of sugar right there. If you were curious like I was.

"I don't understand why this tablet that's supposed to change the flavor of sour and bitter things isn't affecting the taste of salt and sugar!"

So, if they can put together a decent narrative that utilizes spiderman's great rouge gallery, and also not make yet another shitty open world spiderman game that is an uninspired dumpster fire, then I may check it out. With that said, the trailer looked pretty decent.

Spider-man's Rogue Gallery: collection of villains bent on his destruction

Spider-man's Rouge Gallery: The display case for his makeup, for when he wants to look pretty

This looks incredible. They're leveraging the inFamous tech and making a game that can potentially bring in the Batman Arkham money, it's a brilliant move.

Now make sure I can play with the original costume and not this shit redesign on day one and you've got yourself a sale.

Sequel to Mars War Logs? I saw mention of late game Technomancers in that game but they didn't really do anything with it, should be an interesting budget title.

As a fan of the Koihime series I'm excited to play this game.

Yeah, ditto, I'm annoyed that I ended up ordering this on Play-Asia for PS4 thinking it would NEVER EVER come out in the States, and then it gets published on Steam of all places, in English.

WTF.

Wow, I wish Fallout 4 was a better game. Everything in it besides the shooting is a big step backwards in quality from previous games, especially New Vegas (which is Obsidian and doesn't count, yadda yadda yadda, I know). Most disappointing game of the year by far. I guess it's good enough for a lot of people, and tastes vary and all that jazz, but I wish people were willing to hold Bethesda to a higher standard, especially after CDPR ate their lunch with the far superior Witcher 3.

Honestly, that feels like a huge cop-out. They've done a lot more with verticality in this game, companions and their interactions, the crafting and settlement building system, it feels fresh and new. To discount it because they didn't reinvent the wheel to build an entirely new engine and instead spent all of their time crafting little encounters and assets for a massive open world seems to be an entitled attitude to say the least.

Could it be better? Sure. What couldn't? But it's crazy to call a game disappointment of the year because it is "only" epic in an industry where it's one of the only games to qualify as epic.

Instead Mario Maker won game of the year. That "game" that is barely a game, it's a set of tools. That's honestly a joke. Have I played good levels in Mario Maker? Sure, but I'm certainly not going to give Nintendo credit for that. I have no expectation for new levels, like I would with a curated experience, because it's a constant roll of the dice and have no desire to keep playing them. I was bored to tears with Mario Maker's editor after about an hour. Unless you really want to make Mario levels (I don't), it's basically just amateur hour with that thing. I mean, it's a cool toy, snap together moving parts, but it doesn't even begin to compare that to the 100 hours I just broke in Fallout 4, which I'm still eager to go back and continue playing.

How much credit can you really give a level editor? I mean, hurray for easy-to-use tools, but that's honestly the kind of thing we could have encountered on a bad day and viewed as completely phoned-in, or incomplete. How hard would it have been to have everyone on the design team at Nintendo to come up with a few levels and make an actual Mario Maker campaign? Give recognition to the people behind the scenes, suss out up and coming talent based on community feedback? ANYTHING.

You know who else made an amazingly easy editor that got no recognition? Valve in Portal 2, with the Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC. That made 3D editing an easy, iconic isometric editor that anyone could try to use, and it worked. Imagine Valve releasing that as a $60 product, "Portal Maker." People would be calling for Gabe Newell's head on a pike. Instead it was free. (And no one gave a s#!t because it's a level editor, who cares?)

I don't know. Jeff really railroaded almost all discussion this year for GOTY. It was kind of gross. But whatever, I'm done.

Austin's video induced more ASMR than whatever tone-deaf nonsense Alex put together. Shitty channel intro was spot on, though.
