These videos make me feel glad that I am not alone in my opinion on classic Tomb Raider. The controls always felt like crap and the game to me was always a trial and error of "find the random ledge in this mess of textures and hope you don't fall to your death for the billionth time". How this series was popular is beyond me.
People have been saying this is the last console generation. Instead it's the penultimate. The last one will consist of pure digital boxes called "Playstation" and "Xbox" (and maybe not even the latter) with spec revisions every couple of years until the end of time.
I'm quite puzzled by their (especially Dan's) complaints that the technology in COD has gone "too far out". When I saw that trailer I was astounded by how UNIMAGINATIVE this supposed far out future looks. Those scenes set on Earth look like they could be set in present day apart from some fancy skyscrapers and the now standard exosuits (the thing that REALLY stood out for me like a sore thumb were the CARS: they looked EXACTLY like present day cars, they didn't even get the sleek concept car treatment). This game just screams "It's LITERALLY COD only we're in space now! With robots!". Give me fancy laser guns and weird Dead Space/Mass Effect-like technology any day.
