After patching I traveled from Riverwood to Riften. Encountered a dragon along the way, no problems, he behaved as always, which was fly around ( forwards ), land, and scorch me. Cleared out some bandits. No freezes or crashes to report at all. Playing on my PC, game looks and runs like you dreamed it would :)

So the new patch causes more problems then? greeeeeaaat :(

It will take months to iron everything out. Games have gotten so complex that release titles are often more like a polished beta than a perfect product. That is just the way it is.

Playing on PC with a 580 there are no frame rate issues. It runs butter smooth all the time. Game rarely crashes. I did experience the bug where projectiles would not vanish and I walked around with a big ice shard stuck in my arm for ages. Tried reloading and zoning to get rid of it, but no go. Getting shot by another ranged enemy seemed to finally make it vanish. Haven't run into any bugs that kill a quest line, but I am only level 10.

I am curious to see how well this patch improves the textures because they are flat and blurry in places. It will be great if they get them popping out in all their glory! But the patch notes only mention Xbox texture issues being fixed.

Yea go with the PC if you can.... by the way the main quest is actually fun in this game. Much better than Oblivion's closing gates one after another. This main quest takes you through cool dungeons that have fun puzzles, nifty traps, and worthy loot!

What I don't understand is why Brad, or Jeff, or Kasavin or anyone else with a decent gaming PC would buy and play this game on any console in the first place?

Rocking out with a i7 cpu, gtx580 3gb, win 7 64, 6gb system ram, and a fw900 16:10 crt to display it on. Been playing for several hours with no crashes or freezes. Game looks fabulous. I do notice some textures look flat or bland up close but not all of them. Mostly the rocks up in the snowy mountains, or some rocky walls of forts that look kind of blurry or flat. Overall though no complaints on the visuals, the game's graphics are stunning in scope and detail. The lighting is also great as well. And the water..wow.
