2014 Game Completed Comics, #16 – Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

What a strange game. Also: what a fun game. A great mix of stealth and action, of action-packed seriousness and fourth wall-breaking, and that final weapon you get makes taking down Blood Dragons ridiculously easy. I already 100% it on PS3, and my only complaint is that the main storyline missions are pretty boring and it all ends quickly. Oh well.

Not excited one lick about Far Cry 4, but I can't wait to see what kooky spinoff it produces down the line.

I just finished this yesterday as well. Few games have put such a stupid grin on my face. I do have some complaints (I get to ride a Blood Dragon? Awes... oh, wait, it's a fucking goddamn turret sequence fucking fuck) but it would be a stretch to make any of them more than nitpicks. I like it even more than the original Far Cry 3, which I feel lasted a few hours too long and killed off Vaas too quickly.

@believer258: Yeah, the nitpicks are totally tiny for this game! That part you mentioned...I was playing on normal difficulty and felt like there was NO WAY I could lose. Maybe too overpowered by then. I loved chaining stealth kills though.

That's the idea. It was fine when I was playing it, but I thought I was going to get to control it for a final boss fight or something. Now that could have been fun. Instead the bad guy just got killed in a cutscene.

It's not much of a complaint considering the fun I had with the rest of the game. My only other notable complaint is that you don't get much money in this game unless you pilfer every dead body, and that gets real tedious real fast, but eh. I usually didn't need more than the bow, the knife, and the Terror 4000 anyway, none of which need upgrades, so I just stopped pilfering bodies at some point.
