@brad What's the difference between GeForce now and me going to a gaming/LAN cafe, logging into my steam account, and playing my steam games on a rented piece of hardware. The only difference is I'm sitting in front of the piece of hardware vs the output of the hardware is being streamed somewhere else.
I'm not trying to be a dick but this is a mental hurdle I'm struggling to overcome and find a difference.
This and monster hunter world are different enough that I've been enjoying both. I hope this game is successful and continues to add more content. Dauntless feels a lot more like an arcade game while MHW is an actual living world.
@brad While true Super Mario 2's style is completely different than the other types, thats already the case for the 3D world style. It has a bunch of unique things to that style, they mention forcing you to clear the course if you switch to that style from the other ones. 2 could certainly fall in that category, they're laying the groundwork for a style to have its own mechanics. I think there's hope!
I like that RDR2 is a runner-up for Most Disappointing while also being #4 on the top 10 list. No sarcasm, I think that is hilarious.

I saw someone else's comment on one of the staff top 10 lists describing their relationship with RDR2 as stockholm syndrome, and I have to agree. I played RDR2, initially loved it, but after about 20 hours the whole thing just started breaking down and now I'm pretty sure I hate that game. Maybe if I had gotten further in the main story it would have kept me on board but the rest of the game around it just dissolved into nothing for me.
