Man, the enviroments look disappointing...

Looks kinda decent, I was never good at skiing either.

Quake 3 and Call of Duty both uses Hitscan fellas, they just put bullet projectile effects in there to make you think otherwise. Like you did :). Just a friendly advice

As a hella tribes player back in the day, and being worried that this is gonna disappoint me. I'm pleasantly surprised.

I didn't play much of Tribes 2, because I totally sucked at it, but I still had fun jet packing around. It looks like it's still fun to do that, and since I won't be getting any kills anyway whatever new aiming and skill stuff they've introduced doesn't make much difference to me. 

Fuck, this made me want to play Tribes for hundreds of hours again.

As I recall both Halo 2 and Halo: Reach both use Hitscan. I remember back before Reach came out, Bungie mentioned that they were going to use it.

This does not look like my cup of tea (shooting dudes from massive distance while "skating" at high speeds seems like a gaming ability that would only come in handy for this particular franchise), but I'm glad as shit games like this exist in today's crappy, military shooter-dominated marketplace. Personally, I'll stick with Section 8: Prejudice, where combat is a little more... let's say, "grounded" (even though they have jet packs in that game too). Hope it finds an audience and does well for Hi-Rez. Good look at this game!

I remember playing Tribes Aerial Assault when I was younger :D
