Finally, a chance for Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf 2!

I looked that up after seeing this and was SORELY disappointed to see there is no actual fighting. The golf world needs its very own Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball

I think it's fantastic. Every generation consoles get redesigns/slimmer versions that add minimal features. This one ACTUALLY has substantial improvements that do something to the games themselves.

I don't see how anyone can be upset by this. Technology moves at a rapid rate. Phones, graphics cards, tvs. It was only a matter of time before consoles joined in on it. Yea, sure. Some of you might have just bought a PS4 and that sucks, but that's technology. It's not going to wait on us anymore.

It's like getting an iPhone 6 one month before the iPhone 7 is announced and released. You can't be mad at Apple for that. It's no ones faults. It just happens.

I'd totally understand if Base users were locked out of future PS4 games, but they're not.

Just consider this like going to buy a graphics card. Do you want the 970 (Base) for cheaper? or spend a bit extra and get better frame rate and visuals with the 980 (NEO)? I think options in the console market will make it better in the long run by giving people a cheaper option to go with if they're just fine with minimal graphics and 30FPS. While giving other the option of better graphics with (hopefully) 60FPS.

Its because stuff like this accelerates the rate at which console gamers are going to have to make large purchases. Prices have gone up but wages have not, so people are getting priced out of certain hobbies. Phones might work with this plan because most people get the new one every year on their contract. I doubt if you had to pay $600 for a new phone every year most people would keep up with them.

I felt the exact same way you did about AC: Syndicate. Its a really cool game but as someone who did all the side missions and conquered boroughs as I went through them, I was overleveled for probably the last 3 chapters of the game. It kinda blew my mind how after beating the final boss the game gives you a "now go finish conquering all the boroughs!" recommendation even though I'd done that long before. The post main story Victoria missions were kinda neat but didn't really feel like any kind of thing tuned for max level characters.

Wow I can't believe the amount of people who pay for the ad free version that prefer to listen to the one with ads. Maybe its just because I listen to a lot of podcasts that don't have an ad-free option, but I cant stand hearing about Squarespace, Crunchyroll, Audible, or whatnot.

It sucks how few professional games writers there are now, that world just keeps getting smaller.

I think its more that games writing is in a transition phase right now. Some of the people who have been doing it for longer are starting to transition to other stuff, while new people are coming in.

This whole thing reminds me of when EA brought back Medal of Honor and talked it up like they were bringing it back to take back the shooter market. What even is a sequel to System Shock 2 these days? Bioshock took most of those concepts and ran with them, modernizing the concept into a game people wanted to play. Is anyone from the SS2 team even involved in this? If so, is it any of the creative leads who made System Shock 2 what it was? The whole thing seems like a rather weak nostalgia play for a series that doesn't have that large of a fan base in the grand scheme of things.

I really want to gift a year of premium to a friend that would like it.

Can't, for the life me, figure out if there's a way, or if I just have to give him the money.

If you go here, there is an option on the right to purchase a gift code.

Fuuuuuuck the Samus Master Lt. Morales and EVA-01 Purifier Artanis are sick!

I've never even thought to check the various skins' alternate colors. Do a lot of them have "homage" color schemes?

Yeah, for example Blood Elf Tyrande can be made to look like a High Elf with her blue color, and Ranger Sylvanas has a Blood Elf color scheme. Hell, Karazim the Monk's 3rd skin color makes him look like Aang of Avatar: The Last Airbender (head arrow and all).

So there is a free to play class based team deathmatch game called Nosgoth that is based on the Legacy of Kain franchise. It sort of resembles Left 4 Dead 2's competitive mode where it pits humans against vampires. It does a great job setting the tone and making it feel OPPRESSIVE and scary to run around as the humans. Every time you sprint your character huffs and puffs like they are running for dear life and getting ambushed by a bunch of vampires can be tense.
