Avowed is Obsidian's next game. Can't believe these guys didn't know about that. It's a first person (massive)open world rpg, set in the same universe as the Pillars games. Out in 2022 is my best guess.
First, Yes Jan, I have heard of that shit! Second what a great write up, very clever and wildly entertaining. Is it possible for anyone to be more charming than Jan Ochoa? I think not.
AoW Planetfall plays very well on X1X for everyone's info. The ultra rare, actually totally functional ported 4X game for consoles...bless you Paradox/Triumph. Kind of a Civ/Xcom lovechild with a sense of humor and quirkiness in a very good way.
I'd guess the reason MLB is testing a robo ball/strike machine is because they track every call, and the human(and aging)umpires percentages of incorrect calls has gone up over the last decade or more. Also, attendance is down, and the "fast moving' sports are stealing the pro sports dollars. Anything to speed up the game is what they're after, more action, less down time for our impatient, "give me what I want now" phone zombie generation. :-)
First, the Buddy Pass is a beautiful concept; I really hope all co-op games offer this in the future. Second, Wolfenstein games offer some stiff challenge modes which should require truly working together and using stealthy teamwork, and focused fire on the tougher enemies should be a thing. Third, opening to public co-op sounds really awkward; having a dedicated partner from the start should be the way to go pretty obviously. Looking forward to trying this one out w/a bud.
