Yes the Dreamcast loved by many hated by some. released in 1999 The Dreamcast was the 2nd Disc based Sega System ( Well not counting the Sega Cd ) it was the best graphics in miles with awesome titles like Shenmue, Resident Evil : Code Veronica, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio etc. I might be a Sega fanboy and exaggerating the epicness of The Dremcast but!!!, I have proof of how good it is. I asked as many people back in the day as i could about if you like the N64 or Dreamcast i still have the results I interviewed 134 people 123 people said Dreamcast 11 N64 .......................... wow........... even now i think those numbers are................mind boggling. Also the Dreamcast was REVOLUTIONARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Seriously though awesome graphics, Internet browsing which the Xbox-360 and Wii Don't have, It  was the first home system besides a computer to have Online Gaming... wow, and don't forget the awesome Online games, Quake III Arena, Phantasy star Online... which Jeff ruined with a Game Shark read here  i mean come on Dreamcast was awesome, or at least Revolutionary I'm out

I love Dreamcast. It'd be awesome for Sega to relaunch it, maybe updating some aspects of it (only on a software level). I wonder if Dreamcast has the muscle to use a WebKit-based browser. ^_^

The Dremcast was pretty damn sweet. If people hadent ben able to play pirated games without any modification it would have lasted a lot longer.

It was not the 1st game console to have online gaming. The SNES and the sega 
Genesis both used xband witch had a good online community. I have very fond memories of playing killer instinct online with the snes. Don't get me wrong i still think that the dreamcast is and will always be 1 of the best consoles ever!! here is a link to a sight about the xband.

That was very interestingly written. The Dreamcast definitely is my favorite system of all time, but mainly because the titles on it vibe with me really well.  

I can't say it was overall the best system ever, but for the little time that it lasts, I had a shitload of fun, maybe I didn't buy it at launch but there games library were pretty satisfying, not to mention the graphics were great too, I was a bit bittered that it bombed and ps2 succeeded for literally no reason, considering the launch games wasn't that great compare to DC's, but I jump on the bandwagon and bought a ps2 for games that were announced on the system. 

Too bad Sega didn't have the money to keep it alive. 

now that i think of it really, the dreamcast vs. the N64 i should of made it fair with the saturn vs. the N64 but you know I was only 14 so i didn't really know about the Saturn

Dreamcast is the second best system ever, with the best being the not-yet-announced Dreamcast II. 
 
Just wait until E3. It'll be there, with Shenmue III and Duke Nukem Forever as launch titles. 
 
In all seriousness though, the Dreamcast was well ahead of its time, and I'm sure glad that I scooped one up for $80 new right before they stopped making them. Now if only they would make Shenmue III...
