Can someone please tell me how much they talk about the upcoming Red Dead game? I am in full black-out mode on that one, I don't want to know anything about characters, gameplay or anything else, so I'd like to know if it's "safe" for me to listen to this episode. Thanks!
@dracomaster01: You're better off tuning Dan out when it comes to Spider-Man. Life will be better.
I think Dan just hates teenagers. All of his idols are older men like Solid Snake, Rocky, and wrestlers. It might explain his initial aversion to anime and JRPGs because it is a lot of teenage high school stuff.
I would agree with this. In the new game though, Parker and his peers are adults, which makes it way more digestible for "mature" audiences, as opposed to the movies, which are target to teenagers and therefore unwatchable by people like me. Now that sounds like a dumb elitist comment, I don't mean it in a bad way, it's not just for me and more power to anyone who enjoys those, no matter the age.
Hmm, I would love to play new Trials and ditching the trick system sounds good to me, but it looks like they still have that horrendous and constant texture pop-in problem, I don't understand that. You rarely see that these days, I feel like that problem was solved years ago. And these are mostly static courses, nothing that should be too demanding on the hardware. Also there are plenty of framerate dips, but hey, it's unfinished so let's see if they can iron these issues out before release.
Same here. The art style maybe would've worked on its own, but it's just a bad mish-mash of different resolutions making it really hard to look at. Those light shafts in the cave being in a totally different resolution than the actual cave opening it was shining through and all that, not to mention the UI also being in a totally different resolution with smooth fonts.
Well said - I could not put my finger on it, but now that you pointed it out, the multiple resolutions issue is definitely there and hurting the game. Shame.
Ben's ability to go from saying something to full on closed eyes and open mouth and back to to quickly commenting on what's on the sreen so it looks like he's fully awake and paying attention is hilarious. Very unproffesional. Great show this week!
