That NXT article was such a good read. The absurdity of Redemption was so much damn fun, I really do miss it. Current NXT is obviously great as well and I hope they keep it going in the current format for... well I hope they just let it go forever. It's a fantastic idea.

...needs more Maxine, though.

@turboman: Amazing. I was into some pretty similar stuff when I was a kid, but the poison I picked was Mortal Kombat. Used to go onto a forum and have a continuous story going on between a dozen people all writing their own characters one post at a time. Ah, the good old days!

@papercut: A Colt Cabana sign seems...kinda expected to me. That giant head was fantastic, though.

On a different note, it seems like Emma is SLOWLY starting to get over with the crowd. Its unfortunate that she has to swim upstream due to them trying to force feed her down peoples throats immediately, but I think she'll be okay.

The thing that really stuck out to me last night was the crowd. With all this "Hijack Raw!" nonsense I expected the crowd to be incredibly loud and rebellious and we got...well a pretty typical Raw crowd, perhaps even subpar. When it comes to Chicago I expect absolute madness but they really failed to live up to that. Hell, look at when there was a Sheamus vs Christian match immediately followed by a Bellas vs Fox and Aksana match. You could barely tell the crowd was there at all!

Odd night for that bunch.

Only other thing I really want to bring up is HOLY SHIT PAUL HEYMAN! That opening promo was amazing, and the way that he seamlessly transitioned it from being about CM Punk to being about Brock Lesnar without losing any momentum was amazing. Christ, that dude is GOOD.

Well glad I checked the thread a couple pages back. Title, please!

1. Wade Barrett has some BAD NEYYYYYYWS for the Chicago crowd when he comes out and tells them that they should never worship a false idol because they will always disappoint you. He won't say any names.

2. CM Punk comes out to announce his retirement.

3. There will be a minimum half hour long sustained CM Punk chant.

Watching raw, I think it's pretty telling that when the commentators are talking about the New Age Outlaws vs Rhodes Brothers feud they constantly bring up how the NOA have age and experience on their side versus the "young guns".

Seeing Goldust in action makes you forget that he is 44 years old.

Punk leaving is entirely plausible, but I'm not going to believe it until I see confirmation from himself or the WWE. If it's true then this is a massive hit to the WWE and my interest in it. Yikes.
