I've played Mario&Luigi: Superstar Saga. I friggin' loved it.
But I was ignorant. I had never played Super Mario RPG.
I don't complain because of a lack of "continuity"... no... that's foolish in any Mario game. Just that I thought it was so original and why had they never done this before?
 
Well... Then I learned of Super Mario RPG. I still haven't played it. And I haven't played any of the Paper Mario games either. Also I've not played the other 2 Mario & Luigi games (Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story).
