I believe that MVC2 is really for hardcore fighting gamers. Fast-paced and characters can do infinite combos. So if you can't even do just one infinite combo then you're not really good in this game. well, sort of.
StarvingGamer has a point. For a fact that we already know there will be DLCs and a super version of the game even before MVC3 was released, then if you don't wanna feel robbed or cheated then you could have just waited for the super version (which is the Ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 and we may expect another version). I have thought a lot about waiting but why not get one and enjoy playing it right away rather than missing the fun, especially that my favorite character is in the game.
I myself was disappointed for lack of features but i cannot deny the fact that I'm deeply entertained playing the game, even by just watching the game in youtube.
As for DLCs, if you don't wanna pay more, then don't buy it. The great thing about DLCs is that your wishes come true for some people at least, like in my case. I always wanted to see a mohawk version of Storm, but if Capcom never had plans of DLCs, then i wouldn't be able to get a mohawk Storm DLC costume. Other MVC3 fans always wanted their favorite characters included in the game, so i believe that Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath fans are happy that they have the option to buy their favorite characters and enjoy more in playing the game.
I'm happy that Phoenix Wright is included to be in the ultimate version. Still hoping for Mega Man X and Squirrel Girl. Without DLCs, I should have stopped dreaming for their inclusion already. If my wishes wouldn't come true, it's ok. daydreaming about your favorite characters absent in the game is still happy thoughts.
But i understand the point that Capcom should have just given us different costumes included in the ultimate version, not just changing the colors. But somehow, as i come to think of it, this game is still a better game than most fighting games. But yeah, it could have BEEN BETTER if they did give us different costumes for each character, or at least give us the option to customize our characters costumes, just like Tekken 5 and 6.
