I haven't been on xbl lately, which is a sad thingy really because I do miss it and I miss everyone on there as well. Which reminds me of a story.. have you ever ran into or had a fair-weather friend.. sorta like a fair-weather fan but a little bit more 'sad'. I have a few of these type of friends on xbl.. sad really because I never saw it before. Long story short, I took a break from xbl because I've been playing xbl since the beginning.. way back when.. and I just needed a 'break'. But now that I've started playing again it seems like the ones I knew the best on xbl are a little 'niffed' that I took a break and umm, how shall I put this.. they/we don't game, cut-up like we use too.. I know you all have read the mis-adventures of goddess .. *giggling*  It's like I was replaced.. does that make sense? lol

So, my pondering thought for the day is: 

Why isn't it possible for certain guys to game with more than one female at a time? I mean..come on, I have to game with at least 5-6 guys at the same time.. why can't guys do the same thing? lol

I thought playing with more than one woman at a time was every man's fantasy?

Seriously though, it may be more that your crew felt like you "deserted" them and now they are being spiteful. Expectations for internet relationships vary wildly, especially between the sexes. Give it some time to get re-acquainted, catch up on the new in-jokes and bring up some old ones and you should be back in the mix before long. If not, then they don't deserve to have you.

Having spent alot of time on XBL and having see the behavior of most male gamers when a female enters the lobby, I would assume that it might be possible that your guy XBL friends became a bit attached to you, maybe thought they were special because they were playing with a girl. And then you left, and they felt helplessly abandoned, hurt that a girl would stop playing with them.


Anyway, what games do you play? We should game it up some time.

I would tend to agree with both too.  I've been playing competitive shooters a long time, and girls were very rare (becoming very slightly more common these days) and whenever one showed up, the guys would behave in one of two ways.  They'd either try to dominate her (kill her and pick on her in particular) or the opposite, try to suck up, gain favor, defend etc..   It's not unlike schoolyard behavior, but lets face it, most gamers are 12-15 anyway, at least in that genre.
