I'm not a dev but I get most of the tech mumbo jumbo and this had me a little bit shaky with excitement.
I am primarily a PC gamer but with this thing and the Xbox SeX it stands clear games will change forever when this new generation rolls around. They didn't talk framerates here which is a bit worrying, but at least loadtimes are essentially no more, and we should see almost all texture streaming issues and stuttering resolved - both things that irk me tremendously.
If they can also lock down a framerate and deliver solid frametimes - not the OH GOD ITS EVERYWHERE feature of almost all PS4 games - then we are in for a huge leap. But uh yeah I guess a lot of folks don't care about that, and I totally get that.
This expansion is really good, mostly in part due to how it changes the gear system and other systems. It's much clearer now.
Unfortunately as mentioned the sponginess of dudes is back, severly. It's not great. Bosses and elites were a bit squishy and a bit too few previously, but now, dear looooooooord. It takes years to shoot named enemies on heroic. Like you can fire at a dude for 5+ minutes straight and they might die. It's not fun at all.
I do however like how dangerous they've made the enemies damage wise, I just wish they really took a lot less damage. But I suspect we might see that corrected.
Halo is one of the few games I've played more than once (that has a campaign/story mode, that is). I've played it with friends at least like 30-40 times as a teen. It's real weird seeing someone the same age as me that has no concept of what Halo is except word of mouth and Destiny.
Hence this is fascinating and I wouldn't mind a feature out of it! But yeah, play coop, it reaaaaaaaaaaaally makes the game. There's so much bullshit to get up to.
