"This game, along with RE4, wasn't meant to be scary. That's what you get for not doing at least a little reading-up on a game before you buy it."
I had an argument with a guy yesterday saying the same thing you just said sir. People are acting surprise like they didnt know the game pumped up the action and toned down the scares. This has been said countless time by game journalists on every gaming website out. I do agree that the game is less scary....
When you say DS I assume your getting the DSi? Its coming out in less than a month. I would recommend Nintendos star franchises. Pick up Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games wont do you wrong.
Heres a question, how long is the average work day for a game dev? Is it the standard 9-5? I always hear about game developers and their issues getting rest because they have to work around the clock. Fill me in with the facts sir!
Whats up! Its nice to see a game dev (and one to openly admit hes one) around these parts. No offense, but you should be getting back to working on the next Splinter Cell and not surfing around these forums! ;)
I havent been impressed yet with what Ive seen of that game. I do like Jack Black and I want to hope this game can do good. But to put it as your most anticipated over, uh, God of War 3...its shocking. =)
"What do you mean it has nothing to do with what you guys have been talking about? Were talking controls here. Im saying you had to have known about the controls way before now. What good does it do to bitch about the games controls after its released and already in your personal game library? You wouldnt buy a home without going on a tour of the place. ITs the same thing here. You should have looked the game up before you went out and bought it. And if you did know whats going on, why STILL buy it after you found it it played like RE4? THATS my point."
The game is not in my personal library. Seriously. Learn how to fucking read."
You lost, you had nothing but a weak insult as a comeback. Not to mention I wasnt talking directly to you when I said that. It was a general statement that would lead into the rest of my paragraph....Are you done yet or are their more insults for you to dish out? I made my point sir.
"The thing is this...Im not arguing with you guys about the controls being good or bad. In fact I dont even own RE5. I did play about half-way through over a buddies house yesterday. The point Im making, and Im getting people worked up about it, is that information about how the game played and the controls came out long ago. Regardless of wether or not you wanted to find this information is your fault. RE5 has been compared to RE4 in almost every way. Every review on the net and in gaming magazines have said the game is "alot like RE4" That alone should give you some idea about how the game plays. Then theirs the demo that was released weeks ago. If you thought they were going to change the controls that late in the game, your badly mistaken."
And the thing is, that has absolutely nothing to do with jackshit that anybody has been saying, in this thread, at all. It's completely pointless. You have no point."

Its like going on a tour of that ugly home in my analogy and still buying the home when you already knew the inside wasnt to your liking. THATS my point.
