@therealturk: Which one is it?

The one thing that is missing is the mechanic where you get your lost health back by going on the offensive after being hit. I really liked that about Bloodborne. It encourages a more aggressive style of play.

I'm taking a break from Elden Ring. I may have hit a soft wall after entering that one zone immediately east of Leyndell. It's also due to a little bit of burnout. I haven't participated in any jolly cooperation, invasions, or anything since the game runs much better in offline mode. The stuttering becomes way too bothersome in some areas.

@jacksmedulla: I've been thinking about giving that weapon a whirl but I'm still having way too much fun with the Moonveil and especially the MGS. I didn't purposely go through all that Rot Lake horse shit to NOT use it. :P

I do have a cleric sitting at the beginning level. I think I'll be going with a strength/faith mix and start praising the motherfucking ring whenever I get the chance.

For my battlemage (astrologer), I go with intelligence and dexterity. Its primary weapons are Lusat's staff in the off-hand as well as the buckler shield when needed. The main hand is equipped with either Moonveil or Moonlight Greatsword. It simply depends on the situation. Samurai is a mix of health, stamina, dexterity, and strength. It's equipped with the long ass samurai sword whose name I can't remember in the main hand and frozen uchi in the off-hand.

What a lovely quest chain this was! I absolutely hated the Lake of Rot but managed to get through it and the boss fight without dying.

@owl_cave: I ended up finding it on a corpse in the Minor Erdtree Catacombs in the north-central part of Caelid. It's on the upper level. The boss in that one is are dual "dogs". One has magic and the other is a repeat of the first one we've all come to love. The reward for killing them is Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes. It's pretty good once it's been upgraded to +4 or more.

@efesell: I've killed a ton of those and I don't think I've ever seen a unique drop from them. I suppose my luck is absolute shit. I broke the game so bad with the samurai I cannot play it legitimately. I had to create a new one. I created a battlemage and have had way more fun with it than my cheater offline one.

@owl_cave: Where is that helm located? I always see a ton of white phantoms wearing it.
