I got the same email. First one quite like this though. I always check my phone when I hear the sound of a new message or email, but after getting this one in the middle of the night I think I will see if I can set different sounds for text messages and emails so this does not happen again. Granted I was awake, but talk about casting a wide net or maybe the market information was mixed up and some 12 year old girl got an email about Black Ops while we got... this.
I agree you should at least look into a room or even building transfer to get away from this drama. I do not think you have done anything wrong by either this guy or this girl, but based on what you've said about him and his behavior, attitude and possible temper tantrum problems this girl and you have more to gain by getting this guy out of your day to day lives.
I understand you don't want to see this girl get hurt, and it is admirable to steer her in the direction she probably already knows she should move in, however, if she does not choose to lose this guy herself based on how he treats her then you have to get yourself out of these people's lives.
Some people experience some serious mistreatment at the hands of others before they follow their instinct to get out of the situation. If you can help her without creating an intolerable amount of drama for yourself then by all means go for it, but keep in mind when you need to cut and run to save yourself from this madness.
