@Dionysus187:  Well if you want to pull the 'it's a beta' card you may.  I'll just say that when Warhead returns to the service you won't see better image quality.  You've admitted yourself that OnLive's compressor chips and graphics processors aren't the same, increasing the settings in OnLive only increased visual quality.  Nice job contradicting yourself.  But yes, it's not a controlled test.  For all we know the guy is full of shit too.

I will give you that the human eye and brain cannot perceive as much detail in 1/30th of a second than a minute.  It's easier to ignore faults in graphics in any game in motion, so the cards aren't all stacked against OnLive visually.  Still, just looking at those screenshots it's obvious to tell which I'd personally choose.  Not everyone has a PC that can play Crysis Warhead, so maybe OnLive is for those people.

So, I just got invited to OnLive and tried it for myself. The interface and all of that stuff is pretty slick. Small, quick install, and after that everything just works.  I have a 6Mbps connection and onLive requires 5Mbps so I should be good, but not quite. As I had previously been aware, my current ISP does not provide 6Mbps consistently and of course this made onLive unusable after about 5 minutes. However that is a problem with my internet connection and not onlive itself. Onlive actually detected this problem and straight up told me that things were not going to be pretty. After about 5 minutes, the connection finally drops and onlive is forced to kick me. Interesting thing was that even with my crappy connection the lag was under half a second. This of course makes it seem plausible that the lag would be negligible with a competent connection. However, when I first connect to onLive and start receiving the feed the video quality did seem good enough. Definitely not the same as having it artifact-less on a local machine, but internet connections can only get faster, and the technology can only get better.

Otherwise what can I say. I played borderlands for the first time in under a minute after installing onlive. I've never done anything like that before. I can't really hold anything against this technology. If I had a solid connection I could definitely see myself using this

You've already posted screenshots of it, I hardly think five back to back comparison shots are needed, especially since screenshots mean absolutely nothing in terms of OnLive. Also, I've already suggested that OnLive might set lower quality settings for less popular games. FEAR 2 and Red Faction Guerrilla seem to be that way. I haven't been a fan of Red Faction since Red Faction II on the PS2 though, so I'm personally not interested in Guerrilla. Anyway, I've got a new video done, and I even have a direct download link for it so you can see how the comparisons measure up.

You can download the video here:  http://jump.fm/SEDYQ (The download is all the way at the bottom where it says "Save this file to your PC")

I think this entire argument that has taken place in this thread is quite pointless. Obviously, if the specs of the PC you are using are better than what Onlive is using to stream the games than it is going to look better. Not that hard to understand. Anyone expecting the best graphics from Onlive is also, obviously, not who is meant to purchase Onlive. Did I say obviously?

I tried out Onlive today and it works great as a service. I really like the interface and the concept. The input lag just bothers me a little too much.

I've found Mouse input lag in a few games, and have been using a controller a lot more in those specific games. Controller input doesn't have any noticeable lag, so try that out if you happen to have a controller.

Also, here's an alternate link for the new PS3, PC, and OnLive Comparison Video.
