Top 10 Games for 2017

This was the top ten list of games I put a significant amount of time into during the year 2017.

List items

  • (Xbox One Backwards Compatibility) I'm putting this here to represent the Mass Effect Trilogy. In preparation of Andromeda coming out, I replayed the original 3 games (as FemShep) to experience the story one more time with all the DLC. It was such a great time.

  • (Xbox One & PC) I have had so much fun playing this game. So many nights just lost to playing this game. What other game can provide a sense of enjoyment and frustration all at the same time.

  • (Xbox One) This was a good time playing it with friends on console. Bought the collected edition real cheap and had a absolute joy with it.

  • (Xbox One) This game was one of those free Games with Gold games. Convinced a few other friends to get it and boy did we have a blast playing it.

  • (PC) This was such a great game to play. A fun couch co-op experience to play with some friends.

  • (PC) I maybe had a bit too much fun doing some random things with this game. I even captured a video of myself dropping the church bell on a pile of bodies I stacked up just to see what'd happen.

  • (PC) This is such a great FPS experience. The movement, the speed, the guns, the combat....OH so great!

  • (PC) This game is insane. Like, really, this game is crazy.

  • (Xbox Play Anywhere) This is the first game I purchased as part of the "Xbox Play Anywhere" program. While this game is a good follow-up to the original, I just got a little overwhelmed after awhile with it. I still need to finish it at some point. Also, while I never took part in purchasing any lootbox BS, I didn't think it was too bad. Then again, I still haven't made it to the end yet.

  • (PC) I'm still not sure why I'm keeping this game on my list. I somewhat enjoyed my time playing this game, but man does it have problems that just frustrated me. I don't think I ever ran into any technical problems. My issues with the game were more about some of the changes they made with the mechanics and the story. Don't get me wrong, combat feels great, but something just felt off. I can also say this is the only game, that I can think of, that I've nearly fallen asleep while playing it. I still need to finish this thing at some point just to see it thru to the end.
