Online play has become full of people who only play the most popular characters (Ken, Sagat, etc) using the same crappy combos over and over again, mixed in with people who can't seem to afford a connection that's better than 56k make it not even worth playing anymore. I knew this would happen eventually but I never expected it to happen THIS fast. Oh well, I'm putting it up for sale this week.

Your right, that is pretty much what has happened. Isn't there supposed to be a patch coming out soon though? Perhaps that might help with connecting to other peoples games.
If you don't have any friends to play with, I don't blame you for selling it. I sold Left 4 Dead for the same reason as you. People online just don't want to play the game properly and it keeps it from being any fun.
You're insane. If you can't beat the Ken or Sagat with crappy combos then what does this say about you? Generally I find that the mass of Ken players in ranked are horrible at the game, opting to dragon punch all the time.
Also, @mordecaix7: what is the "proper" way to play Street Fighter? I pick Akuma or Guile pretty much 99% of the time, when you play to win you play your character -- that's that. I especially lulz at playing Left 4 Dead properly. Please elaborate.
@lordofultima: I never said anything about "properly" playing street fighter, but after re-reading my post I can see how that can be inferred.
When I wrote the "proper way to play the game" i got short sighted and was only thinking of Left 4 Dead. What I mean by playing Left 4 Dead properly is you get into the game, team up, work together to blast through the level and get to the safe house. It was hard getting people to do that so I quit playing and sold it. I don't want to go into a game and spin in circles or team kill.
As for identifying with Schizoid on Street Fighter, maybe it gets kinda boring jumping into a game and fighting Ken (again) who only does shoryuken and jumping HK to crouching HK. I can see how fighting the same match over and over against a faceless opponent would get old.
As for this: "If you can't beat the Ken or Sagat with crappy combos then what does this say about you?" So what? What does it matter to you if he's good or not, he just wants to fight opponents with some variation. By the way, he never mentioned he can't beat them. What if he's tired of beating the same opponents down over and over? That gets old pretty quick too.
